The world will not end.

Read this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_holocaust#Likelihood_of_complete_human_extinction

Russia's sabre-rattling is to scare NATO from intervening directly.
Using nukes in Ukraine is last resort.
As fallout will affect the Russian homeland and the current areas of engagement have large population of ethnic Russians.

I say the State of Palestine is inevitable because Israel is checkmated.

Its Samson Option as articulated by some of its proponents (Israel does not officially state its parameters) clearly elucidates that at the risk of suffering a resounding defeat, Israel will send nukes at population centers around the world. David Perlmutter and Martin van Creveld specifically mentioned targeting European cities. I can imagine updated guidelines will include population centers in China, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Australia, even Nigeria, et cetera.

You all cheering for them have a target on your backs.

They do not have the arsenal to take on so many objectives and still be able to turn all of Russia into radioactive ash.
Which means there'll be survivors. Across the entire globe. The world will not end, but Israel will. Furthermore, the level of hate that'll be directed against the Jewry will be biblical, cosmic, and consummate.

This is why the Israeli Right's insistence that they will never allow a State of Palestine is delulu.
It's only a matter of time. And so the civilian deaths are needless.

What he is saying is if Russia uses one nuke, then it will lead to NATO members using theirs which will surely lead to all out nuclear war.

It simply means the world as we know it today will end. Yes, there would definitely be survivors but a lot of (if not all) countries will cease to exist in the form they are today. It is not just Israel or Ukraine that will cease to exist.

Futurism is a fascinating subject.

You're correct that the world "as we know it today" will end. Not the world itself, but our current civilization.
But again, spend enough time following the works of experts in the field and you'll realize there's a significant divergence between the pop-culture alarmism and the for-now hypothetical possibilities.

For instance, the global telecommunications backbone is nuclear-proof. It crisscrosses the oceans.
Less than 60% of the world lives in cities which will bear the full brunt of the attacks.
It is unclear how long the nuclear fallout and winter will last. Alarmist modeling did not hold well to the Kuwait fires.

So it pays to regionalize the effects. Were Israel to be the subject of a nuclear confrontation, it will cease to exist, not just in the form it is today, but as an habitable parch. Why? Because it is small.

New agglomerations will form in current rural areas that will expand to become the cities of the future.
The clock will roll back 200 years in terms of population density. But technologically, we might only go back two decades from Day Zero.
Europe will be the worst hit. But every other continent and Africa especially will have a new map of population concentrations.

You can look this up independently.

The hyper-wealthy all have bunkers in New Zealand and sparse locales for a reason.
When the exchange starts, they'll head to their bunkers.
When it stops, they'll emerge and hold the keys to technologies (they'd preserved in archives in their bunkers) that'll put them at the top of the pyramid in the new global order again.

And if we somehow return to the Moon or establish a Gateway space station sometime in the next decade, the dangers of a nuclear exchange to our species will decline by at least a magnitude.

The problem with ur analysis here is that you tend to assume that whatever country nukes Israel out of existence would survive . And I think it is your bias against Israel that makes you think such country would also not be in ruins because it is a bigger country. Israel has allies, powerful ones who would nuke such country out of existence as well.

The bottom line is there is no winner in an all-out nuclear war. All those talk about hyper wealthy heading to their bunkers and escaping the fall out of a nuclear war would not even happen.

There is a reason why any form of nuclear weapon has not been deployed by any country since 1945. Everyone who is in possession of nuclear knows what comes after its use now that more countries possess the technology.

The election will hold as planned and the already written results will be published. Wike and his men will try to invalidate the outcome of the election in court based on Fubaras refusal to obey court judgment asking Risec not to proceed with the election. They will attempt to prevent allocation to those selected local government chairmen using the court.

The protest is what I really don't understand. The whole idea is stupid.

Maybe the protest is just for optics.

But can the courts stop an already scheduled election from holding when there's no major breakdown of law & order or something serious happening?

Facts do not care about feelings.

Russia has 11 time zones. 11.
The size of Moscow's Metropolitan Area is 26,000 square km.
The size of all of Israel is 22,070 square km.

Your bias is on a collision course with the immutable laws of physics.
It does not stand a chance.

The experts disagree with you.
The models disagree with you.
The mathematics disagree with you.

People will survive all-out nuclear warfare.
The wealthy will get to bunkers
Rural will be the new urban.
This has been established since the 60's. You cannot be arguing this and expect to be taken seriously.

Israel painted a target on its back when it acquired nuclear weapons.
It is the smallest country with a nuclear weapon.
Which means when the exchange starts, it has a sub-zero chance of escaping total destruction.
While there lots of places across the planet including in North America and Eurasia that'll squeak through.

Not accepting this does not make it false.
It only means you're attempting to be a human ostrich running on feel-good narratives and some rudimentary form of "misery loves company".
Israel is f*cked so everyone is. The facts don't show that.

The judge tried to be clever. He didn't outrightly say they shouldn't conduct the election. He said RSIEC did not comply with certain provisions of the law in setting the date for the election and because of that, INEC shouldn't release voters register to them till they do the needful.

More like, I'm not stopping the election. However, you must do A and B before you proceed with the election.

Fubara however has decided to proceed with the election in spite of the judgment

This thing is too simple.

If Russia uses even one Nuke, then NATO will not wait for Putin to decide of he wants to do them next or not. They will immediately send nukes to Russia, probably within minutes of confirming Russia's launches.

Putin will knkw that NATO will be making preemptive strikes on him, so he would want to make preemptive strikes on them. This means that Russia cannot just decide to send Nukes to Tel Aviv or Kyiv alone - it's just not an option. The package on its way to Israel must hold something for US, UK, France, Germany etc.

Meanwhile all those guys will have last man standing instructions to Nuke all the other places too.

The simple analysis is that the first person to use Nukes can only do so if they are sure there can be absolutely no possibility of retaliation, or that they are ready to for everything to turn to ash

That's the meaning of mutual assured destruction.

Depends on who'd be in charge of the elections, whether it's INEC or RSIEC, and who's in charge of RSIEC when the elections get conducted.

From what it's looking like, best courts can do is call for fresh elections.

RSIEC says its already in possession of the voter register but I have every reason to believe it's a lie.

First, the INEC REC has denied giving RSIEC the list and secondly, no one has seen this register RSIEC claims to have.

Ideally, the register should have been published by now if they truly have it. INEC does the same months before every election.

I marvel at how he likes to make simple stuff sound very complicated with several paragraphs. Something that is very simple and straight forward.

So Russia will nuke Israel and USA, France and the UK will fold their hands hoping and praying Russia is only interested in nuking Israel while they will be spared?

That was why I said his bias is making him analyze what sooths him. cheesy
