A newly wedded bride, identified as Maryam Olawumni Afolabi Ahmed has met her untimely demise during a car crash five days after tying the knot with her husband.


According to reports, Maryam was among 18 passengers on an 18-seater bus k!lled in a freak accident Gidan Kwano in the early hours of Sunday, June 19.

It was revealed that some passengers were burnt beyond recognition when the driver ran into a broken-down heavy tipper truck on the road.

The Spokesperson of the Niger Command Police Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, who confirmed the incident, explained that one survivor is currently receiving medical attention in Minna hospital.

Family and friends of the deceased bride have taken to Facebook to mourn her demise.
