LET US NOT BURN DOWN THIS COUNTRY: LET’S TOLERATE ONE ANOTHER 1. Are you aware that there is only one Muslim governor in the whole southern Nigeria, Gov. Oyetola of Osun out of 17 states? 2. Are you equally aware that there are only two Muslim Deputy Govs. in the whole of southern Nigeria? 3. In the North, there are four Christian Governors out of 19 states. 4. Eight Christian deputy Governors out of 19 states. 5. Are you aware there are 20 Christian Governors and only 16 Muslim Governors in Nigeria? 6. Do you know that there are 23 Christian Deputy Governors and 13 Muslim Deputy Governors in Nigeria? Despite this, 'CAN' is still shouting of Islamization agenda. But is this Christianization agenda of the south? No, because southern Muslims are more liberal and won't shout or make noise but if it is the opposite, 'CAN' would raise hell. ############ *Facts On Religious Balancing Of Joint Electoral Tickets in Nigeria *Fact 1: Total States in Nigeria - 36 Christian Governors - 20 (56%) Muslim Governors - 16 (44%) *Fact 2: Total States in Nigeria - 36 Christian Dep Govs - 22 (61%) Muslim Dep Govs - 14 (39%) *Fact 3: Total States in the South - 17 Christian Governors - 16 (94%) Muslim Governors - 1 (6%) *Fact 4: Total States in the North - 19 Christian Governors - 4 (21%) Muslim Governors - 15 (79%) *Fact 5: Total States in the South - 17 Christian Dep Govs - 14 (82%) Muslim Dep Govs - 3 (18%) 1 Like 1 Share |

Presidential torch bearer chief Awolowo Obafemi picked his running mate Chief Umeadi Phillip (ready to win but failed) Christian/Christian. No comments. 2. In 1979, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe and Prof. Ishaya Audu of kaduna state ran upon Christian/Christian. You want to know the party? Later! 3. In 1966-1975 Yakubu Gowon and Joseph Akinwale ruled us Christian/Christian (military era) 4. Johnson Agui Ironsi and Babafemi Ogundipe ruled Nigeria on Christian/Christian (military era). No noise. Find out the date. 5. Did you know the running mate of chief Tunji Braithwaite? 6. Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Mrs Erelu Olusola governed Osun state 2003-2010 Christian/Christian. No noise from Muslim ends. 7. Bar. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state and his deputy. Christian/Christian, No noise and comments from Islamic movements. 8. Mr. Ayo Fayose ruled Ekiti from 2014-2018 with his deputy Niyi Adebayo/Olujimi Abiodun. Christian/Christian. No noise from Muslim community. 9. Don’t forget Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti 2010-2014 deputised by a Christian. Christian/Christian. No murmuring. 10. Since First democracy to date South-South, south east states has never tasted Muslim deputy governors not to talk of governors, 1978 to date Flash back. Please let’s pray for better governance! Most of them wailing now would not even vote the man even if he picked Pope as his Vice. The only time Muslims are ever tolerant is when the key of tolerance is in their door mouth. Let's pretend not to note that the nos 1,2,3 and 4 persons in this country are muslims, 95% of service chiefs are muslims. 80% of key political appointees are Muslims. I'm surprised that they didn't make us swear to the Holy Qur'an and declare that we are Muslims before commenting on this post. You don't even get the privilege to comment on Nairaland posts if you're not a Muslim, not to talk of presidency and VP slots. You're here boboing us with nonsense statistics, do you think we were born yesterday? 3 Likes 1 Share |

The people you listed do not have any real power. In spite of their presence, the terrorists still come to churches undisguised and kill many people. They kill and walk away unchallenged by anybody. Those governors you listed only go there to sympathize (in some cases) and donate money. The money can't wake the dead. The money and sympathy cannot reclaim the territory already lost and settled in by terrorists. These happen even when the VP is a Christian; who incidentally jump on the next available plane to western capitals to tell them that there are no systemic cleansing of Christians in Nigeria. And you even saw what they did to the VP himself at the primary election of his own party. Wouldn't he have been offered the right of first refusal of his party’s presidential ticket if he was a Muslim? |

From you analysis you only ended up explaining how much christian are a major number nationally and aggregately. So they can't be excluded from the two elective post that rules the nation they belong It is foolish to start taking isolated arrangements via state to state, you never see christians complain of not having spots in the North West so why do you complain in the SE/SS You are yoruba, how come ondo and ekiti always go christian/christian, perphas it exposed your foolishness that you only balance when their is significant number of the other fraction 2 Likes 1 Share |
