Nigeria has got decent sprinters and if they get their acts together, they’ll do well in the 4 x 100m relay.

Favour Ofili just finished first in heat 4 with 22.71.

The best we have seen so far in the heat before Elaine Thompson runs in heat 5.

She has 21.96 both personal best and season best but finished first in heat 4

Elaine Thompson has 21.51 as personal best and 21.97 as season best and she is running heat 5. She finishes first in heat 5 with 22.80.

We should be expecting a medal at least

She needs to be at her best if she ever wants to get a medal. After the tournament, she needs serious training. She has the third best personal best time with 22.42 behind Ofili (21.96) and Thompson (21.97).

I expected more but she has really been impressive at least
