You have to be very, very loyal to learn any handwork. They won't tell you how they do it, but if they like you, they'll teach you. If I were you, I will learn the one I can in the day from them and learn the rest on YouTube at night. Determination is all you need. Good luck. 4 Likes |

It is called On The Job Training (OJT). Suggest you develop your own learning plan to keep track of your progress. Also, learn to always ask questions. Surely you will get there if you are humble and patient. 1 Like |

It's difficult to see boss who teach much. My boss tgen refused to teach me anything at all. When I ask question, he will start frowning. It was another guy that use to come around the shop that I managed to learn from. Nigerians bosses are slave masters 2 Likes |

Same thing I experienced while learning inverter installations and repairs, whenever my boss is fixing inverters I only observe with eyes, sometimes when I ask questions I get a very shallow answer, but I was lucky that my boss son was also in the shop learning as a matter of fact he has been there right from childhood, I learn more from him, other Engineers around and from YouTube, main boss only knows how to use someone for his own gain.... 4Humanity4All: Nobody has time to teach you anything. Be you an apprentice or an employee. It’s your duty to hack into your boss or employer’s brain, make a copy of the brain and add it what you already know. While observing my a fundamental rule of power. “Never outshine thy master”. Know and act like you know little but have an insatiable appetite to learn vivaciously. But in other to hack into your Master’s / Employer’s brain, you have to bring something to the table. You must be possessed with the desire to learn and help him reduce his stress. If you can do this, he will trust you and start giving little things to handle and you grow from there. This is what I call the “Jacob’s principle”. And my Eastern brothers adopted this method years ago under the ‘ Nwa boy’ module which is now a subject of discuss at the IVY league school. E.g Harvard Business School. I have tried it repeatedly and it has worked for me tremendously. I always end up sacking my bosses cos they won’t let me go and won’t pay me well. Mind you, I did this as a baby lawyer and that’s a how I learnt everything I know today. And it’s how I became a consultant to my fellow lawyers when it comes to litigation. I photocopied the brain of all the bosses I ever worked with or worked for. From SAN down to the best litigator I ever met in my existence. But this came at the cost of working 16 hrs minimum everyday with no weekend or holidays. I even did my colleagues cases just to gain experience. They thought I was being foolish or trying to overly please our bosses. But I knew what I was seeking after. But let me ask; what is your plan? How do you intend to achieve this plan? 7 Likes |
