Many people will agree that the number of preachers today has greatly increased. Many will also agree that the fakes among them has also greatly increased.
But the question remains how to spot a false teacher.
How can you tell that a preacher is false?

1. Money.
Any preacher who cannot successfully land a sermon without landing on your pocket is false. No matter the anointing on his head. Run away from such men. As far as they are concerned, you are just a commodity.
If you have to pay for counselling, Holy water, olive oil, hand kerchief etc just run.

2. Guilt.
If a preacher constantly makes you feel guilty, then I am not sure what he is saying is good news. I know a lot of people will argue their lungs out but think of this, how many people did christ constantly guilt trip in the bible? I await your answers

3. Confession
Any preacher who intimidates, hood winks, cajoles you into confessing your sins to him is a false one. That is not Christianity.

4. Sin
Any preacher who uses the pulpit to glorify sin, talk about sin, magnify sin is not from Christ. Every preacher should use the pulpit to glorify Christ. If a preacher must talk about sin, it must be relative to what Christ has done.

5. Cursing
Any preacher in the habit of cursing is false.

6. Deliverance.

This is one of the biggest hoax of the century. No Christian needs deliverance. Only unbelievers need deliverance, and if your preacher constantly conducts drama auditions and calls it deliverance, he is false.

7. God's blessings
God's blessings are unconditional. It means that you will never qualify for it. God's blessings will not be dependent on you or what you can do. It is not by power or by might, but by God's spirit. Anything that God will ever do will be free. If a preacher preaches otherwise and tells you to so more seed for God's blessings, he is carrying you to where you no know ooo. You need help.

Anyone who teaches a doctrine that violates the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ is against Jesus Christ and is hence a false teachers and false prophet. That is what Jesus Christ said. By their fruit you shall know them. So for instance, anyone who runs a church business using the Name of Jesus Christ is a false teachers and a false prophet this since Jesus Christ never gave any man permission to use His name to build any church business or business of any kind, neither did He authorize anyone to assemble people using His name for any other purpose than commanded by Him in His Gospel.

@ OP: You gave no biblical Support for your write up, which is sad because scripture is replete with warning on false Ministers of any type (pastor, prophet, evangelist etc). Also I disagree with some of what you wrote.

Here are biblically supported marks of a False minister:

1. They lead you to other 'gods', other Christ or other gospel: (Deut 13, 18), 1 John 4, Acts 20, 2 Tim 4, Gal 1:6-10)


2. Peddlers or merchandisers of. G-d's words, serve mammon (money): 2nd for 2:17,, 1 Tim 6, 1 pet. 5, 2 Peter 2, Jude 1, Jer. 6:13, Jer. 14:18


3. By their fruits and works Of flesh (immoral living etc): Matt 7, 23, Gal 5, 1. for 5, 1Tim 1

4. Hypocrisy- they do not live what they preach: Matt 7, 15:6-7, Luke 11:37-54, Mark. 8:15, Gal 2:11-14

5. Lack Of preaching against sins or in repentance, hell or judgment. THIS was the center of the bible prophets, Yeshua and apostle's message: To Repent, And return to G-d, believe, escape judgement and for the kingdom of G-d is at hand. Read The entire book of Jeremiah or the other prophets, the gospels and the book Of Acts.

6. Lastly, THE BLESSINGS OF G-D ARE CONDITIONAL.
Surely you know a sinner, living in disobedience can't expect. The blessings of G--d. Read the entire Book of Deutronomy. For quick reference, see Deut 11:26. Even, salvation is conditional in that IF you repent of sins, confess with your mouth, believe in your heart that Christ is LORD, THEN you have forgiveness and remission of sins.

The love of G-D. Is unconditional and the act of HIS death On the cross was unconditional for all who will believe. To accept this act is still an act of the will and to inherit its blessings of salvation is still conditional based on an individual's free choice.

1. Why look into the Old Covenant Law for answers to what is instead God's New Covenant Law, Jesus Christ?

Those blessings listed in Deuteronomy belong only to those who are of the blood of Jacob as God clearly told you in Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20. The blessings that apply to those who are of the Kingdom of God are instead listed in the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John beginning with the blessings outlined in Matthew 5 vs 3 - 12.

* As for your claim that God's love is unconditional, that is not true at all. God's Love for men in Jesus Christ is conditioned on one's obedience if the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ - John 15 vs 9 - 11 and John 13 vs 1 . Only those who obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ are said to love Jesus Christ - John 14 vs 20 - 25 and John 15 vs 14. And these are the only ones to whom the love of Jesus Christ is available to.

That is a big lie, my friend. Jesus Christ made it all together very simple for us all. Only we reject His reasoning in our bid to instead rationalize the logic and doctrines of men.

According to Jesus Christ, anyone who teaches doctrines and traditions that are not of Him are against Him, something that about 100% of what you churchians consume are not of Jesus Christ.

Also, no one who belongs to Jesus Christ would use His name to set up what you call churches, nor congregate people to doing all what your regular rituals this since Jesus Christ never gave any man permission to do any of that using His name.

To IDENTIFY true disciples of Christ "it's by their FRUIT" {Matthew 7:16} this means after Jesus has commissioned his group there is a RECOGNIZABLE pattern they follow so that in every city they go observers can IDENTIFY them as followers of the man called "CHRIST"

All these are the FRUIT of CHRISTIANITY powered by God's Holy Spirit {Galatians 5:22-23} while other religions from demons also have their peculiar FRUITS {Galatians 5:19-21} that's why Jesus could say:

"every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit. A good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. Matthew 7:17-18
