Particularly when children are involved, the sight of people with abnormalities of any type stirs the spirit.


The picture below shows Kangkang, a kid born with a transverse facial cleft, and it is something that has never been seen before in this region of the world, except that it hasn’t received much attention.



Due in part to the severe gap that nearly reaches his ears, the condition gives him the appearance that he is physically wearing a mask over his face.

When Kangkang’s mother finally got to embrace her newborn baby after pleading with authorities on several occasions, she sobbed. Although the exact etiology of this illness is uncertain, it is thought to be brought on by an infection or perhaps the mother’s regular drug usage. One story claims that the woman only used the anti-abortion medications that her doctor recommended while she was pregnant.



Even though Yi, Kangkang’s mother, learned after bringing him to a hospital in Changsha, the capital of Hunan in south-central China, the therapy is pricey, the family has been able to save up enough money for his care.
