The English name for Pap is African corn pudding. Its local names include; Ogi called by the Yorubas, Akamu called by the Igbos, and generally called Pap in Nigeria.

Pap is a Nigerian fermented maize cereal pudding that is very light and mostly consumed by Nigerians. The interesting thing about this meal is that pap can be combined with other foods like; Akara, fried plantains, pancakes, fried yam, bread, Okpa, beans, and puff puff.
