1. He has been dislaying His power ever before coming down. Ask Pharaoh.

2. Sin is a spiritual dirt. A visible dirt in the spirit realm which needs washing even after being forgiven. After you're forgiven, you should be washed. And only blood washes sins.

3. God didn't send anyone on a killing spree. Those nations were murderers, idol worshippers, homosexuals, etc. God waited long for them to repent, yet they never did. Infact God told Abraham that He would wait 400yrs before destroying them because the cup of their iniquity was not yet full. And sure, He waited.
