It is no longer news that, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, the Benue Messiah and governor awaiting inauguration has endorsed the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential ticket, popularly tagged ‘Muslim-Muslim’ ticket by rival political parties. This has come at a time when majority of Benue people have been in total confusion as to whom to vote for President of Nigeria in the 2023 general elections.

Father Alia is the messiah that has come to redeem Benue from poverty and hardship orchestrated by the present PDP governor in Government House. Ever since the day APC settled for Tinubu and Shettima as its Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates, rival political parties have resorted to propaganda based on religious sentiments in order to scare Nigerians from voting Tinubu and his running mate. The funny argument has been that, the Muslim duo of Tinubu and Shettima will Islamize Nigeria if elected into office.

This ridiculous propaganda has also reached Benue. However, Benue people have since been waiting patiently for their messiah to tell them the way forward. Benue people know that, Father Alia is in the right place to tell them whether or not to trust the Muslim-Muslim ticket. Father Alia is not just a Christian, but an ordained Priest of 32 years standing. He studied Theology and religion for many years both at home and abroad, bagging a doctorate degree in Biomedical Ethics. Father Alia knows everything knowable about Christianity, Islam, Traditional beliefs as well as other religious beliefs. Not just that, Father Alia has come to redeem Benue and knows what’s good for his people.

The wait is over! Father Alia has spoken. Father Alia has given directions to Benue people. He has told them to support and vote the Muslim-Muslim ticket. Father Alia has alluded fears of the masses that voting the Muslim-Muslim ticket would Islamize Nigeria. Alia calls this propaganda false and malicious. Benue people now know whom to vote as the next president of Nigeria; Tinubu.

Father Alia has purified the Muslim-Muslim ticket, but this is nothing new to me. Prophet Elisha once purified the bitter waters of Jericho in the bible with salt and made it consumable for the people. This is recorded in 2Kings 2: 18-22. Some Christians in Benue may distaste the Muslim-Muslim ticket. Tinubu/Shettima might be bitter on the tongue, but the Benue Messiah has purified them. Benue people must now consume them without any fear.

Father Alia cannot lead his people astray. Benue people must trust their messiah without any second thoughts. If Alia says that, ‘Tinubu’ is good, then he is good. Whatever Father Alia says, we simply chorus ‘Yes Father’. Father Alia is human and as such fallible. However, as far as Benue is concerned, Hyacinth Iormem Alia will always be right.
