He also said if borrowing is a crime, people should stop using Lexus etc (which are not from Nigeria of course). He's saying there's nothing wrong in borrowing, only if it's used for something tangible such as development, just like there's nothing wrong with America borrowing since they're using it for good stuff.

APC has patronized locally made vehicles the most... compared to previous governments. There was a time it was Volvo cars that were in vogue in Nigeria and we had more Volvo cars than they had in the whole of Sweden where it is manufactured. Now, the craze is Mercedes and Lexus cars when you cannot even produce a bicycle from scratch.
Where do you expect the foreign exchange to come from without borrowing to supplement the meagre forex you earn from sale of crude, which you cannot even refine by yourselves?
