Malami has forgotten he does not enjoy immunity like the pesident and can be prosecuted in office. You would expect an attorney general to know better. As these statements suggest, a court can order his arrest for contempt. |

meshach5000: Very insightful, and it has always been one of my arguments! They are invested in seeing the insecurity in the south-east continue, as THEY are the diabolical brains….the criminal minds behind it! Releasing Mazi Kanu now would put a spanner in the works and their propaganda merchants on print, electronic and social-media wouldn’t have any ‘reason’ to blame Mazi Kanu, IPOB or ESN for the murders, targeted assassinations and other evil they carry out in the south-east region! |

At this rate, when Nnamdi Kanu finally gets back to Kenya, it will be harder to convince a Kenyan judge to extradite him to Nigeria as Kanu's lawyers will simply show them that Nigeria government don't respect local and international laws and treaties. This government keeps making fools out of themselves, while disgracing the normal populace. |
Re: Malami: Why FG Is Keeping Nnamdi Kanu Despite Court Ruling by Jaycee07(m): 1:16pm On Oct 28, 2022 |
tochifk: Wrong. That’s not what the court is saying. All the 15 count charges leveled against Kanu has been quashed on the merit that due process was not followed. If FG re-arrest Kanu, what charges will they bring against him since all the 15 charges have been dismissed. Malami is a dunce. Kanu will beat him any day any time in court. Again, Malami is not subjected to immunity that the president, vice president, gobs and their deputies enjoy. He can be charged for contempt to the court and that is a criminal offense. He’s intellectually very weak and inferior. As it stands, he already has a case to answer. He forgets that as an attorney general, he can’t arbitrate on his own case or any case he takes to court for that matter. He’s such a fool. NBA should make provisions to debar him. 2 Likes |

This Fulani government has been releasing many Boko Haram members and other killers by their own volition and without any court judgement backing them. But here they are, flagrantly going against court order to release Nnamdi Kalu. These are very vindictive set of people, they don't care whether towing the path of political settlement of releasing Nnamdi Kalu would assuage the tense situation in South East at the moment and bring back peace in that zone. All they care is, they want to show their superiority and authority over a certain people. 1 Like |

Jaycee07: You see when it is said -and El-Rufai even corroborated this- that the Fulani are a very vindictive people who can bear a very long grudge, the ongoing travesty of justice we see at play with the Mazi Kanu ‘treason’ trial is a case in point! Basically, what’s happening here is the Fulani wanting to extract their pound of flesh for all the abuse Mazi Kanu heaped on their heads….and for exposing all their plans for Nigeria! They are prepared to go along with court rulings only to the extent that they don’t interfere with their plans to show Mazi Kanu pepper and put the ‘nyamiri’ in their place! |

The AGF is a pos but is right on this issue. MNK jumped bail, was flying around the world courtesy of Israel, stopped for a minute in the UK to beep his wife, then decided to go sample some of that luscious, gigantic Kenyan yanish which proved to be his Waterloo. |

Malami is being cajoled into delving of substantive issues; and that is against the practice direction of any court or trial. Given that the plethora of cases filed by IPOB vs FGN are all based on procedural jurisdiction, the judgments pertain to merely such. The defendant through the IPOB defence counsel did not deny the charge but had issues with the extraordinary rendition and locus/loci of the preferred charge. To delve into the charge is premature. If the defendant through his counsel had vehemently denied the charge, the prevailing ''inconsequential judgments'' would have held sway. If the Umuahia court prevails, for the sake of international law, diplomacy and geopolitics, which country would accept the defendant per the locus of the extraordinary rendition? The UK, Israel, Brazil, and grimly, Kenya ''shirked'' responsibility. The case/appeal on rendition went to the Supreme Court but an Umuahia court neglected it and ruled on it, even after it had to stand down for the Court of Appeal to give judgment........ I swear, I tire. |
