Atiku can contest but me and you know that power is rotational in Nigeria and a northerner is about to come down after 8 years.

It is not because our constitution never says so.

Assuming it is,by now,it would be the turn of North.

PDP
8 OBASANJO-YAR ADUA 2

6 JONATHAN-NOTHERNER 0

TOTAL

SOUTH 14
NORTH 2

...

PLUS EVEN BUHARI 8,IT WOULD BE:

How can he devolve power to the States? That is the jurisdiction of the National Assembly.

Nonsense.

Nigeria’s election is not about one person, stop chasing shadows, it is the ideology of a political party that changes a country.

Hypocrite Peter Obi is just playing politics to the gullible.

There is.

Only that we just pretend to know our country while we do not know what our constitution says.

I bet you know US constitution than that of our dear nation.

We have REPS,through which our voice is heard by the centre and they serve as our eyes and ears.

Why not holding townhall meeting every specific time with your both REPS and STATE MEMBERS OF ASSEMBLY?

You just want them to spread money or execute a project, as if they are executive arm of government.

The purpose of both state and national assembly is to echo the voices of the people and represent them.
I know the Constitution well enough to know there are a lot of loopholes in the supposed process to hold elected officials accountable coupled with our increasing differences and tendencies to put ourselves over the collective.

For instance when the Supreme Court supposedly imposed Hope Uzodimma on Imo state, before you know it the APC that was a minority in the House suddenly became majority by sheer cross-carpeting and their constituents where non the less wiser about recalling them. An opposing House would have probably found impeachable offence to remove him and his deputy from office, if only they dug deep enough.

So you see Nigeria runs on "my stomach politics" and until that changes, you can never successfully hold anyone accountable.

It is laughable that Atiku we know promising to devolve power to the states! His antecedent contradicts his position.
An Atiku who was VP to OBASANJO and imposed state governors in Gombe, Taraba and even tried to upturn people's choice in Kano in 2007?
An Atiku that cannot make peace with his party's G5 Governors over chairman of the party who promised to relinquish his position in case a northern presidential candidate emerged?!
Atiku presidency will only usher in worst autocratic regime!
