Apostle Joshua Selman was born in Plateau state in the year 1980 to his parents Mr and Mrs Nimmak who are indigenes of Jos. He is the second of four children with a brother and two sisters. He grew up with a passion for God and for ministry and has since childhood shown his desire to know God and make him known.

During his childhood days, he would rather read the word of God instead of going outside to play with other kids. He desired to preach at Ahmadu Bello University even as a little boy. And it happened because he graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was known to organize gatherings amongst his friends to preach and share deep insight from the Bible.
