Whether he should be praised or condemned for using the agency to generate revenue for the government is not the case here. For me, he has shown a sign of financial prudent and that should be encourage. To this end, I will suggest let the Professor recommend his successor and let him be move to an agency that deals with financial accountability. 1 Like |

Ishaq Oloyede is a man that has track record of setting pace... During his time as VC of University of Ilorin, he revolutionaliesed the school to the extent that the school was among the first in many things. Started the Unilorin Radio, Exposed the school to CBT exams, built massive infrastructures, widened the school academic base, promoted the school image and cultism was out of the institution. Am not surprised he is doing this magic with JAMB. he is one of the finest islamic scholars. God bless you sir 2 Likes |

This is not something to be proud of. JAMB is not supposed to be customs or firs. Whatever money made by the organisation should be exactly what it costs them to run their affairs. That there is a 50 billion excess shows they are overcharging students for the cost of exams. |

West1side: This is a good development. But JAMB was not setup as and should not be a revenue generating entity. The profit should have been distributed through reduced exams costs to the populace. What is happening is just trying to do the wrong thing the right way. |

TheNiceGuy: The only process that could be used to identify and position 'those who fear god', in our public service, is through their track record and performance while in public and private service. I doubt if lany Nigerian public official will admit not to be 'god fearing', if such question is asked. I am sure James Ibori, Ahmed Idris, the suspended AGF, arrested in connection with 108bn fraud, Andrew Yakubu, former NNPC GMD caught with $9.8mm hidden in his house, will all claim to be 'god fearing', if question about their level of 'godliness', is put to them. I am sure Late Sanni Abacha's family members will swear that the Late dictator was also 'god fearing', while he was in public service as well. Professor Oloyede's track record as a 'high performer', was exhibited as a highly successful Vice Chancellor at the University of Ilorin. His current success story as JAMB Registrar, is not in any way, surprising to those who have been following him, since his glorious days at UniIlorin. Imagine the huge difference it would have made if an upright person in the mould of Professor Oloyede, is occupying leadership position at the highest level in the country. It will definitely be a sharp contrast to the abysmal performance of the leaders we have been having since self-rule, in 1951. 2 Likes 1 Share |

West1side: Oga Oloyede, stop this nonsense! JAMB is not a revenue generating Agency! Pay ur workers well and cut down the price of Jamb forms! Why returning such a big amount of money? You have turned JAMB to FIRS or Customs! Pls, this man is doing well in a wrong Agency! He should be appointed the Chairman of FIRS or CG of Customs! |
