A very ill advised move by the dancing senator cum governor....for a state with next to nothing IGR and a crushing debt profile...this particular decision by Mr Adeleke is nothing short of executive rascality.

I keep telling all that care to listen, university education is not compulsory and by no means is it an institution run on charity, qualitative university education is expensive and those wishing to pass through it must be financially and mentally prepared.

These moves to impress at the detriment of effective functionality of the Osun state will soon backfire if he continues on this path.

Students need a decrement abeg. It's long overdue. There's hardship.

I hope he has done the calculations to understand the underlying cause of increment?
I hope there will be more accountability?
I hope that trust funds are established to ensure at least a decade of uninterrupted studies based on the reversal? And another 3 decades of assured growth?

Gov. Adeleke Reverses Osun State Polytechnic Tuition Fees.

The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has approved the reversal of the school fees of Osun State Polytechnic Iree to the initial amount prior to July 2022 Governorship election.

It will be recalled that the tuition fees for fresh students was increased from #67,850 to #112,850 for students offering science related courses while those offering management related courses were asked to pay #97,300 from the initial #57,300.

The reversal was approved after the students union leadership of the institution called the attention of the Government to the increment and appealed for it to be reversed.
