I grew up knowing the word”Ijoba” translates into “Government”, and it’s mostly use to refer to Military personnel and people with power but I have always been inquisitive to how the word came about, like it’s origin. I’m not a yoruba speaker nor understand the language beyond the basics but I know Oba means King, so please house, educate us, I would very much like to know. ProudBornoBoy nlfpmod 1 Like |

Ijoba or ijova means govt. Refering to military personnel as such is not out of place because they represent govt in their operations and activities. Attacking military personnel while in operation is just a direct attack on the govt because they are executing govt instructions. |
