Quality education is expensive all over the world. You want our students to compete with other universities abroad, then we need to pay for it
Lecturers want better package, infrastructures and money for research, then we need to pay for it.

The time I take go school, I nor pay pass 7k as school fees. All this nor pass 12 yrs ago.

Government should stop subsidizing tertiary education, and focus on subsidizing only primary and secondary schools.

We that went to state universities are already used to this, we paid twice the amount above

Government universities now competing tuition fee with moderate private universities...

This is wrong, children of workers who have money already, what about the children of the poor whose parents are not privileged enough to work in the university

150k is only 200 dollars, no university in America will charge 200 dollars so Nigeria is still better than American when it comes to school fees

D old system produced many "educated illitrates" For example, dey manifest themselves here when dey curse indiscriminately n unnecessarily.

D purpose of education is defeated n d bad eggs chase employers n investors away. Even d govt is not confident in giving contracts to Nigerians.
Besides d country was training professionals (good ones) for western nations.
Let's try a different path.
