In 2005 there was an IED attack near Haditha, what followed was a massacre of nearby civilians. During the next several hours, Marines killed 24 Iraqi men, women, and children. Near the explosion, they shot 5 men who had been driving to college. They entered 3 nearby homes and killed nearly everyone inside. The youngest victim was a three-year-old girl. The Marines would later claim that they were fighting insurgents but the dead were all civilians. In an oral-history interview for the Marines, General Michael Hagee, who was the commandant of the Marines at the time of the killings, bragged about keeping the Haditha photos secret. “The press never got them, unlike Abu Ghraib,” Hagee said. The interviewer, interjected, “The pictures. They got the pictures. That was what was so bad about Abu Ghraib.” “Yes, And I learned from that.” He said, “Those pictures today have still not been seen. And so, I’m quite proud of that.” No convictions. Israel Rejects Humanitarian Pause for Vaccination of Children in Gaza Netanyahu's office denied a Channel 13 report that the Jewish state would cease fire at the US demand to carry out polio vaccinations. Earlier, UN Secretary General Guterres called for a humanitarian pause in the Palestinian enclave. Vaccinations for children will begin on August 31, and the campaign will last a week.

The IDF intercepted a UAV that made its way this morning from Syrian territory to Israel but did not cross into Israeli territory. Earlier, the Shiite militias in Iraq claimed that they had launched a drone into Israeli territory. It is possible that this is the same event, and the UAV made its way from Iraq through Syria - and was destined to reach Israel. 1 Like |

The Swedish government’s hypocrisy exposed... Sweden is one of the EU countries that takes a clear pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli line. But it turns out that when it comes to receiving wounded Gaza residents and treating them, it is too much for the Swedish government. According to a report on a Palestinian website, the Swedish government refused the request of the European Council to agree to accept wounded people from Gaza in hospitals in the Nordic country. This refusal is puzzling since hospitals in Sweden as well as medical service providers in Sweden claim that they are able to receive the wounded from Gaza. The Nya Karolinska hospital that treated the wounded from Ukraine has already announced that it is ready to treat the wounded from Gaza. However, the Swedish Minister of Health Care, Acko Ankarberg Johansson, explained that this was an "excessively high cost". "This is too high a cost for a small number of patients.
