1. Israeli death toll: at least 350 killed, including 30 police officers and 26 soldiers. Over 1,800 wounded.

2. IDF kills over 400 terrorists, bombs hundreds of terror targets in Gaza. Fighting ongoing in several southern Israel communities, army aims to evacuate all area residents today.

3. Hizballah fires mortar shells at IDF positions on Lebanon border; Israel destroys Hezbollah post in border enclave. Quiet in area for now but Israeli forces are on highest alert for war vs. Hezbollah.

This is Almog Cohen. He's a member of Knesset for the right-wing Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party. Yesterday, he dropped everything, got his gear (he used to be a police officer) and joined in battles against terrorist forces in southern Israel.

Can you imagine a member of your Congress or Parliament doing that in a time of war?
