WHO IS THE YAMAM? THE MOST ELITE HOSTAGE-RESCUE AND COUNTER-TERRORIST UNIT IN THE WORLD The YAMAM (ימ״מ) is an acronym in Hebrew for “Yeḥida Merkazit Meyuḥedet” (יחידה מרכזית מיוחדת) which translates to “Special Central Unit” and is otherwise known as the National Counter-Terrorism Unit. This unit falls under the ISRAELI Border Guard (MAGAV), which is under the ISRAELI National Police. The YAMAM was formed in the mid-70s after the Ma’alot Massacre demonstrated a need for a truly dedicated counter-terrorist and hostage rescue unit that would solely focus on those two missions. The YAMAM only recruits operators who completed their service in elite special forces units in the IDF and have years of combat experience; that is why most of the operators in the unit are in their 30s and 40s. These already seasoned and experienced fighters are put through a grueling selection pipeline that involves months and years of intensive training, much of which is classified. The unit is believed to have around 100-200 operators in total. The YAMAM has been extensively involved in hundreds if not thousands of complex counter-terrorism operations in Judea/Samaria and Gaza. They have responded to numerous terrorist attacks in ISRAEL and have become the preferred unit for any complex domestic operations. The YAMAM is also one of the few units in the world with successful hostage rescue operations under its belt and probably the only unit that has completed this type of operation multiple times in the past decade. Hostage rescue is, without a doubt, the most complex and dangerous type of operation, and units can train for years to do it and still fail when the time comes. The YAMAM rescued hostages at numerous locations during 10/7 and conducted three more successful hostage-rescue operations in Gaza, including Operation ‘Arnon.’ The YAMAM has access to the best weapons and gear that ISRAEL has to offer and routinely uses cutting-edge, experimental, and highly advanced classified technologies and methods to accomplish its missions. For my American audience, the YAMAM is comparable to the FBI Hostage Rescue Team (HRT). While their budget is undoubtedly tiny compared to what the US can offer, I would respectfully argue that the YAMAM more than makes up for it in terms of operational experience. (Raylan Givens)

The drama in "Operation Arnon": After the rescue vehicle of the three male abductees got stuck in the middle of one of the alleys of the Nus.irat refugee camp due to a gear failure, and it was necessary to rescue the abductees and the fighters using an armored personnel carrier - a few minutes later - the armored personnel carrier also got stuck in the field! From a preliminary investigation it appears that there was another technical fault. Now it is already a double drama: still in Nus.irat, in a threatening area, and after one vehicle had already gotten stuck - the APC that rescued got stuck also. The abductees, and the IDF troops were required to quickly hop into an additional rescue vehicles (third in number) that drove the abductees and fighters to the rescue helicopters. Officials who were present at the fommand center described long minutes of tension. During the massive cover fire during the retreat, more than 10 fighter jets were in the air at the same time, dropping dozens of weapons and bombs. Among other things, the buildings where the abductees were kept were also attacked. The Air Force carried out a "knock on the roof" to evacuate the population, then destroyed the buildings. The IDF says Despite the heavy fire that was used in the area, the initial assessment in the IDF is that [color=#990000]the number of Palestinian deaths that Hamas claimed - 210 - is inflated, and is intended to strengthen the narrative of a "massacre". Now the IDF is preparing for the continuation of fighting in the Gaza Strip. Division 98, whose operation in the central camps was actually one big fraud operation, is preparing for additional missions. The Kfir brigade that operated in eastern Deir al-Balah made the preparations in recent days that enabled the envelope for the operation in Nusi.rat. In Rafah - the IDF Estimates that the operation will be completed in a few weeks - and then the fighting in the entire strip will move to the stage of raids. The IDF says: The operation is proof that any point in Gaza can be reached. |

Noa Argamani told her family that the house from which the IDF rescued her belonged to a fairly wealthy family from Gaza. According to her, they had to be convinced when she asked to take a shower, but they gave her food every time she asked. She hadn't seen much daylight, she said. Noa learned Arabic and spoke Arabic with the family. The father of the family told her that she "blesses Allah" and that is why she came to his family. Relatives and friends say that she smiles "from ear to ear" and that she is in good physical and mental health. Argamani confirmed to her family that she spent part of the time with the hostages Yossi Sharabi and Itai Swirsky, whose deaths in captivity were announced in January. In February, the IDF investigation came to the conclusion that Sharabi was apparently killed accidentally in an IDF attack. According to the investigation, Sharabi stayed in a building that collapsed after it was attacked. |

The voices in a Gaza calling for an attack on the humanitarian pier, which was established by the USA, are increasing. In Gaza, eyewitnesses claim that IDF soldiers, with American backing, penetrated the Nus.irat refugee camp under a 'humanitarian' cover in trucks that arrived from the dock. Battalion 532 has now left Gaza after participating in the rescue of the four abductees. The battalion commander ended his speech with the Bir.kat Hagomel sometimes known as “benching gomel,” a prayer commonly said after recovering from serious illness but can also be recited in gratitude for completing a dangerous journey. Rafah Exactly one month has passed since the beginning of the attack on May 7th. The operational activity has not stopped since then, and the renewed takeover of the Philadelphi axis was completed two days ago. The elections in Iran: According to the Tasnim news agency, Ali Larijani and Ahmadinejad were tossed out of the shortlist. In 3 days, the final candidates who will be allowed to run in the presidential elections of Iran are expected to be announced after more than 40 people applied for the position. The Tasnim news agency, close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, reports from its sources that the 6 outstanding candidates remaining in the race are: 1. Mohammad Kalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament who was registered in the 90th minute 2. Said Jalili (served as Secretary General of the Iranian National Assembly and Secretary of the Supreme Leader) 3. New details from yesterday’s daring rescue operation. Per Saudi news, some of the special forces that entered Nus.irat posed as displaced Gazans from Rafah. The disguised forces arrived in a white car carrying mattresses on top, and the women were dressed in local attire. Locals asked where they came from and they answered that they were escaping the IDF operation in Rafah, and had rented a place in the area around the market in Nus.irat, pointing at the building where Noa Argamani was being held. The unit then split into two groups, each heading towards one of the two buildings, in preparation for the operation. The ladder was used to climb up into the floor where Noa was held and kill the guards with a silencer.

Let’s wait for an official confirmation from the IDF regarding the DNA results of the remains or two bodies found in a tunnel in Gaza. It would be epic if these are of Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin whose bodies are held by Hamas since the 2014 Gaza War, also known as Operation Protective Edge.

Reports from Gaza that Noa Argamani was held in the home of Al Jazeera journalist Abdullah Al Jamel and Dr. Ahmed Al Jamel. According to the reports, the force entered the house on a ladder and killed the two and Abdullah's wife. According to reports in the Gaza Strip, this is the home of the family that apparently received money from Hamas in exchange for Noa's custody and this is the photo of the room. #### If the Gazans themselves admit that Al Jazeera employees are holding hostages on behalf of Hamas - why should anyone for a moment be surprised that this TV networks should be outlawed?
