Have a  Nigerian president ever worn suit. I'm not talking of military suits but a normal suit. I know it is the least of our problems but when wud a Nigerian president wear suit.

Agbada is a three piece suit and that is good enough. In as much as the wearers are evil.

The day an American president or UK Prime minister wear Agbada to their parliament, ours will wear suit.

@Okada_man

Gbam! More grease to your elbow brother. Our traditional wears are more flamboyant and our leaders should keep flying them high.

Sometimes I wonder, why we Africans are too obsessed with almost everything western.

Yes, our presidents wear suit but it happens once in a blue moon. I have seen Baba Iyabo in suit as well as past presidents and head of states.

Suit makes you behave like a gentleman and think right and address people politely
Agbada makes you behave like a "Nigerian" even on NL. grin smiley
That is the reason our presidents and Senetors behave
Re: Has Any Nigerian President Ever Worn Suit? When? by Fhemmmy: 2:36pm On Sep 05, 2011
I remember OBJ wearing suit and looks horrible on him . . . .
Wearing of a suit is not a prerequisite to being in office, we only need a reliable and good leader
Re: Has Any Nigerian President Ever Worn Suit? When? by Princek12(m): 2:42pm On Sep 05, 2011
At an older age, eating pounded yam, amala, or fufu on a daily basis without exercise is not the appropriate diet for someone who wants to look good in a suit. A suit cannot hide an 11-month pregnancy, and most of our leaders are pregnant with quadriplets. Just joking. All jokes aside, I don't think a Nigerian president should wear suit, for a suit represents European culture. Our presidents should wear attires native to our country, for they are an ambassador to our country anytime they attend foreign meetings; and the last time I checked, I don't see western leaders wear agbada.

Mugabe and Charles Taylor wore suits,so did Saddam Hussein grin grin Dressing formal means nothing,I'd rather they have their focus on their job and not looting, pilfering public funds, imprisoning political opponents and implementing real policies that affect the citizens lives, not Agbada/Sleeping bag/Suit/Skirt angry angry angry angry
Re: Has Any Nigerian President Ever Worn Suit? When? by redsun(m): 3:37pm On Sep 05, 2011
Africans like in most things always fail to see the moral and mental degradation of trying to copy others. They dont see anything bad living without original initiatives and creations. Why must any african wear suit with tied neck like one on the way to gallow in the heat of african sun? Colo mentality.
Re: Has Any Nigerian President Ever Worn Suit? When? by ikanya: 3:47pm On Sep 05, 2011
Dressing is one of the ways to uphold one's identity, which as well tells where one is coming from. Through their dressings, our presidents are merely telling the world that they are Nigerians and proud ones for that that matter. What is bad is not their dressings but their bad and corrupt minds,
