A chieftain of the main opposition party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Osita Chidoka has described the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi disruptor in the Nigerian politics, but one with the lack of a national appeal. 

Chidoka made this assertion while speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

He stated, “PDP is going to get considerable votes in Oyo, Osun and in Ekiti. We are going to get considerable votes in Anambra, Imo and Abia.

“We are going to come second. Tinubu is not going to come second in Imo, Abia and Anambra and Enugu. APC is not going to get it. It’s not going to happen.

“We are going to be first and second even in the Niger-Delta, in Delta, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa and Cross-River, we are going to have PDP.

“The only thing that will change is who is going to do well in the North.”

The questions I want to ask Igbos that want the Igbo nation to back Atiku with the hope he would give and Igbo man the ticket is this

1) If voting shagari , yaradua and same Atiku didn't make north want to vote and Igbo man is it voting Atiku that would change it ?

2) what would happen if Atiku wins rules for 4/8 years gives Igbo man the ticket ,and say APC or the new major opposition gives it ticket to a northerner Vice to a south south or south west man ...what do you think would happen

3) say obi loses but gets 7 to 10 million votes ... would he not be in the strongest position than any other Igbo man to negotiate for power in 4/8 years ? ...any new coalition would definitely want to partner obi right ?

4) are you telling us that if Igbos don't vote Atiku he would forget all we did in the past and be wicked to Igbos if he wins ?


So tell me again what is the benefits of Igbos supporting Atiku

You can't expect somebody that has been following apga before obi joined and left apga to suddenly sacrifice apga candidate and support obi

The same thing to pdp loyalists, it's not done, so it's a game of politics, whatever obi has been able to achieve through within the period he had the opportunity and the kind of advantage he has been able to take in the structure Nigerians voluntarily built for him, out of the nonsense the two similar parties are doing, will determine his chance of winning the coming election.
