Maynman:

Illiterate said a Christian can be atheistic.
Illiterate said “monotheism” is semantics.

Illiterate doesn’t know what “god” means.

Like i said, agnostics are monotheists that are afraid of religion.

A Christian is a yahweh worshipper.
A muslim is an allah worshipper
A hinduist is brahma worshipper.
Yahweh, allah, brahma etc are all called GOD!
god is a title not a person!
Keep wallowing in your ignorance, Mr "divine light", the fake atheist.

The shim hides under different monikers to pretend he's an atheist, or a Christian (at times), and a Muslim (at other times).

You're the definition of confusion and stupidity.

Re: Agnosticism by Maynman: 1:17pm On Jan 30, 2023
Counter the weak point.
You are a former Christian that still hold on to “god”, the christian god is called yahweh.

Agnostics are Monotheists that are afraid of religion.

A001:

You asking me this silly question shows you don't know what's called agnosticism.

The earth is approximately 4.6 billion years old, and recorded history doesn't account for even 5% of the planet's age.

There are billions of galaxies and hundreds of billions of planets in the Universe, which is unimaginably big, and scientists haven't explored even 1% of the Universe.

There are natural limits of our abilities as a human; for instance, we can only hear within a narrow range of sound frequencies and see only within a narrow range of frequencies.

There's a vast amount of information and data in our immediate surrounding we're not able to detect and know, just like we're starkly ignorant of things happening in the extrasolar or extraterrestrial worlds.

Agreed. There are known unknowns, meaning there are things we have no knowledge of in existence or they universe. There are also things we can’t even fathom and we don’t give names or attributes to them.

A001:

As a result of these, what the average human know pales in comparison with what they don't know; hence, agnosticism.

Agreed. agnosticism, (from Greek agnōstos, “unknowable”), strictly speaking, the doctrine that humans cannot know of the existence of anything beyond the phenomena of their experience.

There are things beyond the phenomena of our experience and we do not give them names or any attributes simply because they are beyond our physical capabilities and tools of discovery.

For example, I can’t logically say that there may be something in the unobervable universe called a BimBim. Mind you, I said a BimBim and not some BimBims. Also, I’m agnostic about the existence of BimBim.
You would have to ask me what a BimBim is since the phenomena is beyond my experience.
Further more, how do I know the nature of this BimBim or know to call it BimBim?
Why is there only one of this BimBim?

A001:

A god can exist or not exist; we may never really know for sure due to our limited knowledge of our nature, of our planet, and of the Universe.

What is god to the agnostic like yourself?
Is god beyond the phenomena of our experience?
Why one and not a whole race of them like the human race? 8 billion humans and 8 billion gods.
Why do you refer to it as one?

A001:

That's the agnostic position in simple terms, which is more reasonable than saying with certainty that a god exists (yet the claimant can't provide a concrete proof for such a claim) or doesn't exist.

Maybe the god of the person making the claim with certainty that god exists is different from the god the agnostic doesn’t know if it exists or not.

I don't have time for unnecessary back-and-forth on a simple issue. I'd give the same response I gave to the shim earlier:

A001:

A theist says a god (whatever the name) exists and has so-so-and-so attributes, the agnostic asks for a proof, and since such a proof is unavailable, the agnostic takes his position as a skeptic.

The agnostic position is a response to whatever claims about god that the theist makes without a proof.

It seems it will take you years to understand what's simple as 1 plus 1.

An agnostic is a theist sympathizer.
It’s just like a dad agreeing to all his kids imagination about toys and cartoon.

Kid: does the Wolverine in x-men exist?
Agnostic dad: I don’t know it may exist or not

What if the person has never heard the word god?
Would you be “agnostic” to a person who doesn’t know of gods?

Let’s say a child of 7 years raised without the concept of the supernatural asks you what do you mean that you are agnostic?

An agnostic says a god may exist or not as his nature is unknown, yet he's a theist sympathizer, not an atheist sympathizer.

When you're foolish, you're foolish.

“An agnostic says a god may exist or not as his nature is unknown”

How do you know his nature his unknown?
And if the thing is unknown, how do you know his nature is unknown?
If something is NOT KNOWN, You’ll have no idea of this thing, talkless of knowing if it has a “nature” or if its nature is unknown or not.
