The Supreme Court order on Naira swap deadline extension may not be binding on the apex bank due to some technicalities, according to a legal expert that spoke to Nigeria Today News.

Recall that three State governments – Kaduna, Kogi, and Zamfara – had approached the Supreme Court seeking to restrain the Nigerian Government and its agencies from implementing the deadline for the swap of the old Naira notes.

However, according to Isaac Okeh, a legal practitioner, the Supreme Court order on Naira swap deadline may not be binding on the CBN for several reasons, one of which includes the fact the CBN was not named as a party in the suit.

“Can the Supreme Court competently make an order against the CBN in the suit that the CBN is not a party to? Had the CBN been joined in the suit, the Supreme Court would not have had jurisdiction. This is because the CBN was not listed amongst the persons that can appear before the Supreme Court in its original jurisdiction.

Supreme Court has become a panel of corrupt Judges.
The CBN has more knowledge of finance than Supreme Court Judges

Well let's see how it all turns out. I'm even shocked that 3 governors can go and convince the supreme court to do otherwise.

Let Tinubu & his gangs keep wasting their time.
CBN will not extend the deadline. Tinubu is corrupt & intends to blackmail the CBN because he wants to use the old naira notes to buy votes. We r not dumb,we r aware of his propaganda. Buhari, the FG, the cabal & the CBN will beat him to his game. Emilokan project is DOA.

OBSERVATION FOR ACTION
It has been very obvious now that chief justice of federation (ARIWOOLA) is the instrument that APC(TINUBU) is using to truncate judiciary process as regards election cases from Tribunal up to supreme court, ARIWOOLA is one of the TINUBU loyalist,he has been bought totally like Adajo Agba Ayo Salami, let's refrain and re brocast this fact/information because one of APC stalwart revealed the said facts to me today.

In a bid to dish out kangaroo judgement, the Supreme Court will end up ridiculing itself.

It's a shame. It is always the southerners that always ppl it themselves available to be used to please the power mongers up north. At the end, they end up in shame.

U don't want CBN to obey the apex court ruling but u want Wike to obey High Court order on Atiku. Hehehehe. Uzodima's court judgement was a slap on democracy while that of Diri of Bayelsa was victory for democracy. Let CBN try nonsense and see what will become of Nigeria.

Uzodimma's and Diri's cases have no similarity at all. Uzodimma's case is the worst judicial travesty known to mankind and I believe it will always haunt the Supreme Court.
Uzodimma was not a candidate in the 2019 Imo State gubernatorial election as he wasn't the candidate of any party. Uzodimma didn't even campaign for votes because he knows he wasn't a candidate.

Remember that on Nov 20 2019, the same Supreme Court disqualified Uche Nwosu for holding the valid nominations of two parties AA and APC. If Nwosu held the valid nominations of APC, who did Uzodimma represent?
