The case of the New Naira notes is like the Story of the 2 prostitutes
who were claiming the same Baby

But his real mother loved him so much that she would rather give him to
the other woman than allow him to be cut in half with a sword

Nigerians are suffering greatly because of the Naira Redesign yet some People
are telling the FG to not obey the Supreme court Judgement insisting that the February 10 dead!ine must be kept, not caring even if it will
Lead to Economic Collapse

While the other group are saying that the People are suffering too much and they matter the most

The CBN must obey valid judgements from the Supreme court of Nigeria. The SC must be respected at all times.

The judgement tho is that the old notes remain legal tender until at least Feb 15 when the substantive suit is taken at the SC, however CBN has already mopped up the old naira notes (and destroyed them?) so in a way nothing will really change until Feb 15 at least as the SC never asked the CBN to bring the old notes back.

Only the huge old notes stocked by politicians(APC and PDP) can be used bw now and Feb 15. By Feb 15, the case will be dismissed or taken to Federal high court where it ordinarily should have gone to 1st

Young man go to school and stop displaying ignorance here. The suit filed was between FG and states. CBN irossnt even listen to the FG on policies and they were not joined in on the suits. Better go and deposit your money before you become the proverbial grass that suffers when "big" men fight.

The three governors that took the CBN to court are idiots. They should have asked the court to compel the CBN to make the new notes more available to Nigerians but instead, the asked the court to compel the CBN to allow Nigerians continue spending the old notes. Why are they so interested in the old notes? What is their obsession with the old notes?

The governors are not idiots, they are criminals fronting for Tinubu. The New notes isn't the problem. Even if the new notes are released, there is a withdrawal limit per person so these criminal governors cannot mobilise enough cash for vote trading. They want the old noted to co-exist with the new because the have a stockpile of old notes cash. These are demonic, corroption-laden governors. El Rufai is the bloodiest and most murderous of them all. He will be judged both here and hereafter.

After Buhari, Emefile is the greatest tragedy Nigeria has and is suffering from.

Tinubu & his gang members are the real problem of this country. They are frustrating the smooth implementation of this policy. They connive with bank officials and hoard cash

Exactly...big time politics at play here...Emefile has lost his integrity as a CBN governor dabbling into politics hence my own thought that the policy was made in bad faith..But nevertheless, the supreme court judgement is a big relief. Can you believe that ordinary cashiers in banks are not safe again because of Emefile partisanship

Like a lawyer opined on Twitter it seems the deed has been done

Majority of the old funds are already with the CBN, and they can do what they like with it

And the CBN was not even a party in the first place, the matter don tie big wrapper like this

What I expected the apex court to do is to order the release of the new notes cos that's where the problem lies not spending the old notes
that is coming into the domain of CBN. The Nigeria minting press can only print 500B, and next print in six months. Remember(cashless, enaira). They planned this well.
