5 Signs Peter Obi will Win Nigeria’s Presidential Election 2023

Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, has emerged as a popular candidate in the upcoming Nigerian presidential election in 2023. With less than two weeks left to the presidential election, the race is heating up, and many Nigerians are looking for a candidate who can steer the country in the right direction.

One candidate who has been gaining momentum is Peter Obi, and there appears to be a bright light on the horizon for the Labour Party presidential candidate as the election draws closer. Let’s take look as signs that Obi can get the big win.

A Bloomberg survey affirms Peter Obi’s popularity

Peter Obi has emerged as a popular third-party candidate in recent polls. In a survey conducted by Premise for Bloomberg, two-thirds of respondents said they intend to vote for Obi in the elections scheduled for later this month. These results, along with other indicators, suggest that Peter Obi can be a strong contender in the upcoming presidential election.

Political elite Doyin Okupe gives his projections

Doyin Okupe, a former aide to former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, has also expressed confidence in Peter Obi’s ability to win the election. Okupe took to Twitter to predict that Peter Obi will win and lead massively in the South-East and South-South regions and also secure a minimum of 40% of the vote in Lagos and 25% in Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, and Ondo in the South-West.

According to Okupe, “He is the candidate to beat. Peter Obi will win and lead massively in the SE (South-East) average (70%), including all states in the SS (South-South). In the SW (South-West), PO will score a minimum of 40% in Lagos, 25% in Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, and Ondo. Osun 15% min. NW (North-West) 40% min in Kaduna, and no less than 10% of all the other 6 states, mainly because of Igbo residents.”

Peter Obi closed his presidential rally on high note

On the final day of the Labour Party’s presidential rally, thousands of supporters came out for Peter Obi in Lagos. Music stars P-Square and African China took turns to entertain the crowd, and armed police officers and security guards frisked people at the gates. The successful rally and enthusiastic support can be a good sign for Obi’s chances of winning the presidential election.

He’s the youth’s man

Peter Obi’s focus on youth development and education has resonated with many young Nigerians. With Nigeria’s median age at 18.4 years, the youth vote can play a significant role in the presidential election, and Obi’s appeal to young voters can increase his chances of winning.

Peter Obi has a track record

Peter Obi’s track record as the former Governor of Anambra State, where he served two terms from 2006 to 2014, has been widely praised as a shining example of good governance in Nigeria. During his tenure, Obi implemented policies and programs that transformed Anambra State.

Obi’s achievements as governor were numerous, ranging from improving the state’s infrastructure to promoting fiscal responsibility and accountability. Under his leadership, Anambra State experienced a significant improvement in its road network, with several previously impassable roads being upgraded and new ones being constructed. He also invested heavily in the education sector, building new schools, rehabilitating existing ones, and increasing the salaries of teachers in the state.

All in all, while these signs may indicate that Peter Obi has a good chance of winning the presidential election, it is important to note that the election is still days away, and that a lot can happen between now and then. Ultimately, it will be up to the voters to decide who will lead Nigeria in 2023.
