Funny, where is the money allocated to inec

It's in the bank like all our money.

But they can't access it just like all of us

Are you an INEC staffer? Stop quoting me if you are not because e-channels can do almost everything cash transactions do.

The last time I checked, NYSC doesn't pay corpers using cash. Besides, CBN has branches in all the 36 states and the FCT. They kicked off Cash Swap program that targets unbanked Nigerians in rural communities. Those corps members should access cash through that channel, if they really need cash.

Unless the CBN drops this policy, everyone must embrace it. Cashless payments have more benefits than carrying cash about. Our problem is that we are obsessed with cash payments, and we are struggling to come to terms with the new normal.

NYSC pays bicycle/transport allowance in cash. That's the first money corpers get in NYSC camp. It's meant to cover their transport expenses.

Have you been in a situation where after making a transfer you have to wait for hours for the recipient to receive an alert before you leave with goods or services rendered. Deal with reality first. I am an advocate for cashless transaction but there are things needed to put in place before it could function.

Are you being deliberately ignorant for someone whose comments are mostly logical?

Where in the world, in a country where up to 80% of transaction volume is conducted within the informal sector, is a cashless policy implemented effectively in less than 3 months?

Excellent Project Managers factor in limitations due to realities on ground rather than mere rational wishes in determining project timelines.

Have you considered the incessant network glitches, unbanked rural populace, inadequate network infrastructure and coverage, literacy levels needed for online transactions? Or these are unimportant?

It beggars belief that you are asking what INEC needs cash for when majority of the areas where voting takes place are in rural grassroots areas.

And you people will be abusing Buhari!

Thank you for capturing this aptly. You're brilliant.

Trump is made for life and still contesting.. Tinubu is equally as ambitious

You need cash as AdHoc staffs on election day to buy snacks and recharge cards especially if posted to remote areas

If you don't give them cash Tinubu and APC party agent would because APC cares.. plenty cash for them
Not true sir.
At least I have worked as inec adhoc staff in remote odogbolu village and all payments were made by transfer. Even if you give them millions in Cash the greedy ones will still be bought.

I don't know what Emefiele stands to gain from all these confusion that he has unleashed on the Nigerian social, economic and political space like this.

A lot. His brother, Okowa is from the same town. So, make APC look even badder than it is , whatever votes is allowed goes to Atiku/Okowa

Buhari wants to handover to another Fulani. Fulanization agenda continues..

Nigeriana who ever believed that the crash crunch is to curb vote buying, im mumu never do cool

You have a major comprehension issue.

Read what you quoted again.

Bro quit this crap, you've lost tocuh with the reality. Elections can't hold without cash to support logistics. Which yeye e-channels are you even talking about? The unreliable ones that prevented Nigerians from making simple transfer, or is it a new one they just brought from America?

See the looks on Abdullahi Adamu's face as Buhari holds Tinubu's hand up...

Who can explain that look abeg

The APC National chairman has never hidden his disdain for Tinubu.

Go and look at all their campaign videos, you'll know he hates Tinubu with passion.

The only time I've seen Adamu smiling with Tinubu is if Buhari is present with them.

It was also Emefiele who did the currency swap of 1984.
Your kind of stupidity has no redemption.

He didn't do 1984. But he is the one doing this swap of 2022/2023. Without the Finance Minister hearing or knowing anything about it. Like what's the hush and hurry about this currency swap if it's not to sabotage this election

Emefiele is a pathological liar and whoever believes him is a mumu. He doesn't mean well and never meant well for this country. The Naira/ Foreign currencies have skyrocketed under his watch. You can't even access your own money.electronic money transfer is epileptic.

Anyone defending that guy will not see good in life. Amen!

Someone said something....

He said, what if we're meant to believe that this move is to stop vote buying and at the election day, we see only APC coming with bags of monies to all pulling units to trade votes....When everyone must have been tired and hungry and broke....Then only APC came with the new naira notes to share for the people?

I hope this isn't what will happen.... Because, this might just be a game plan. And everyone is behind their plans.

The whole thing might just be to make it seems like the FG is fighting Tinubu when in the real sense, it's making it simple for Tinubu to scale through easily....

Una don dey get sense small small. grin

If he’s sorted for life, then let him stay away from Nigeria’s presidency.

Meanwhile, INEC should do transfer.😏

Must they pay in cash?
You mean Obi and the rest are not sorted, and it's why they need the Presidency so they can sort themselves too. Mmmm... I get it now.
