I heard (I do not know for sure cause I have not been to Benue for over ten years) that Ortom is one of the most useless Governors ever in terms of any real achievement

Ortom is not backing Obi the trader on this one

Obi assumes that the policy will favor him, but he is on a long thing, Nigeria has moved past having Obi as president

You're really senseless, Peter Obi is currently the president right? He's also an APC member and the CBN governor, you're very very stupid too, go and report like a coward keyboard warrior that you are

“Even security men with all their guns and tanks will be helpless because if you move on the streets how many people will you kill"

The above statement by Gov Ortom is what this current government don't know;power belongs to the people only if they are united.

This government is really a mediocre administration!

Their was actually nothing wrong with the old ₦200, this was a great blunder, CBN should have continued with it, its availability would have ease a lot of issues caused. ₦200 in buddies won't be easy for vote buyers to carry about on election days and won't be easy for vote sellers to hide

You guys are living in the past.

Their level of stupidity and shallowness is simply astonishing. Obi himself is so clueless and dumb that he thinks this rubbish policy will affect Tinubu's chances. I laugh in Chinese. grin

Supreme Court never said that. A Court struck out some of the charges against him . The govt can still charge again with new crimes and recharge him with the old ones because he has not been been tried on those charges yet.
It's only when you have been charged, tried and found not guilty on a charge that you cannot be retried on thr same charges.
Get your facts right.
Nigerian press are lazy and bias. These are basic facts that they supposed to report but they will write rubbish news where they do not educate mumus like this one here.

When did it become the job of cbn to stop vote buying and electoral malpractice?

What concerns Tinubu with cbn policy?

Why should cbn put millions of Nigerians in suffering because it wants to target one man? How does is that justified?

If you want to suffer, you are free to suffer but there's no where in the constitution that says that the govt or CBN should suffer nigerians because of election. If you know where it is in the constitution, pls share
We have been suffering since last 8 years and when we complained you called us wailers. We are use to suffering. Enjoy it till after election

I tell you my brother. Ortom is failure personified, from non payment of salaries and pensions, to no projects. If you hear that he has commissioned a road, do a background check, you will discover that he has enough plots of land on that road.

Buhari and Emefiele should not reverse anything. All these politicians speaking on behalf of the masses are fake. They are only interested about their loot. Nigerians have endured Buhari 8yrs of misruled and COVID, few more weeks after election won't kill us. Nigerians will still survive it.

Your types feast on anarchy, destruction, social disequilibrium just to satiate your mentors. Shame on you all. The policy must be reversed in the interest of those genuine Nigerians who don't depend on political droplets for survival.
Enjoy yourself

The madness going with this ill-timed,ill-conceived and abysmally executed naira re-design policy is is just out of this world.

Nigerians didn’t clamor for the re-design of our old currency’s for those ugly piece of shit they called new notes all the reasons this stupid, clueless good for nothin Emefiele advocated for the redesign of the currency isn’t cogent and it’s now counterproductive at this point.

Vote-buying would still happen but let’s even assume it would curb it a little is any of the aspirants worth this untold hardship that’s been meted on Nigerians just for them to emerge why should average Nigerians starve & suffer for the emergence of Obi or Atiku?cos the policy is targeted at Tinubu according to the stories flying around, was CBN established to curb and stop vote buying or why is that Dunderhead Emefiele chasing shadows?

The ones that hoarded loads of cash already deposited in the banks the crooks and criminals that are supposed to bear the brunt of this policy already “ gamed this system “ there’s still hyper inflation worsened by the naira scarcity even, does the inept CBN governor think that the so called terror-bandits or kidnappers would accept old notes from their hapless victims when they demand for ransom?wouldn’t that be playing Russian roulette with the captives lives? This whole naira re-design policy is pure sham that those thieving bastards just used to siphon our money.
