Why Do Parents Choose Courses For Their Children? by Gabrielosayogie(m): 8:59am On Sep 12, 2011
Many parents today want to choose the kind of course their children should read at the university. Now adays many children hardly have their say on what to study. Most Parents would not want their children to take up professions they(parents) do not like at all. This is not good because the children should also be allowed to express themselves.

I think they do it out of ignorance because by the time some one reaches University level he/she knows better what they want. Besides, Frustration on part of parents make them choose courses for there children because if they were unfortunate or know someone who did the same cause but Unfortunate they think their kids will be the same little knowing that each person has his own luck.

They want the children out of the house. Children must study what will enable them to take care of themselves. Children must be an asset not a liability. What is the point of studying music, if you'll still be at at home when you graduate? ~My mother
