9jaWatchtower has gathered that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) spokesperson, Tony Akuneme, made the announcement on Thursday in Abuja.
According to Akuneme, the border closure ordered by NIS Comptroller-General Isah Jere would go into place on election day and will last 24 hours.
He further stated that the shutdown will be in place from 12 a.m. on Saturday to 12 a.m. on Sunday in order to protect the country from foreign invaders who want to vote as Nigerians.
According to Akuneme, all command comptrollers, particularly those in border states, must guarantee rigorous adherence to this direction.
