Why are people stupid like this.

With hand written results, thuggery and INEC lack of transparency, people still call this election free, fair and credible

"The co-founder and head of intelligence, Stears, Michael Famoroti, noted that the company rightly predicted the outcome of the 2023 polls."

Stearns prediction was spot on.. especially, predicting a win for Tinubu because of voters turnout, a lose for APC in Lagos and a win for APC in Benue with a slight margin over LP....ALL was accurate.

By now...

It should be clear Tinubu won the election "fairly"...Fairly because, all political parties rigged in their strongholds...

Ofcourse, you can't rig all....the candidate that can beat others to the game have won..

Na all these opinion polls de make Mr Akin Osuntokun of LP think say they won cheesy grin cheesy grin....Opinion polls from phone users, who have access to internet....what about millions of Nigerians that do not have access to internet or listen to radio and TV

It's a big lesson anyways..

You make sense. Look at the table on first page, most undecided voters are from north west and north east,
Obi's stronghold was South East and south south with least undecided voters.
When you have high percentage undisclosed opinions in a sample poll, you should expect upsets.

Obi's supporters are toxic and aggressive, reason many potential voters who would not vote Obi, didn't disclose their preferred candidate.

Polls were correct and accurate. Obi won the election
The only thing poll fail to factor in was INEC compromise and collusion with the APC rigging machine.

How could you say poll was wrong when LP won Lagos state with over 900k but was shortchanged to less than 600k votes.

Won Rivers state win miles of votes but was called for APC

Won Platue with wide margin but was closed up for APC

Won Benue state but was called for APC

Votes where not calculated properly in many Northern states. Example was Bauchi where he got over 5k in one local government but was assigned less than 800 in the whole state.

Polls were conducted on the basis that the election would be free and fair.

Obi won the election in your fantasy dream country. I hereby declare him president of Fanyasydream Country Republic. Ok relocate to Fanyasydream Country Republic. Case closed.

Whoever believes in Nigerian polls need to have their head examined. The basis of the polls is fraudulent to say the least. The organizations performing the polls are already either biased, collected money hence to the highest bidder or based on online where the over 80% of voters cannot participate.

When conducting a poll using apps, how many voters have access to online not to talk of having the app. When Stears claimed in their website that they are based in London while they are based in Lagos and conducting polls among the youth voter population, then you know that's a percentage of voter population.

Scientifically, for any poll to be credible, it has to represents the voting population and the methodology have to be reproducable.

All of the polls failed this litmus test. They are all skewed and not credible. Those conducting the polls are gullible and corrupt.

The bad part of this is that people that cannot exercise their common sense will believe in this senseless polls and based their emotions on it when the actual voting results did not agree with these senseless polls.
And guess what, they will still repeat same thing for the next election.

Ofunaofu, if you look at the states outside of the southeast enclave that Obi have the highest votes (as opposed to wining it) the votes he received were from the polling units dominated by the Ibos.
For Obi to win national elections, he needs to learn from Buharis's book and reach out to other groups that make up the country, otherwise, he will repeat Buharis's mistake of loosing three times in a row.

Ibos are really desperate to produce the president. I understand how it feels.
But it cannot happen.
What Ibos need is Biafra.
It is easier for them to get Biafra Republic than to produce the president.

What they got wrong?? haha The Election was MASSIVELY RIGGED, Voter suppression where necessary and Absolute fake votes to pump the already chosen candidate of the Thieving INEC. The stupid article is only speaking to their usual dense illiterates that usually take them serious. No one else is being fooled.

For the record, this election even though very flawed has exposed the right parameters we have to use and start identifying ourselves in Nigeria. All the fraudulent lines of North or South or East etc is no longer tenable. These are the lines that the Europeans came and started drawing in Africa as part of their divide and conquer strategy.

Their was a call for a new nigeria, built on equity, mutual respect, integrity and competence. The difference between the candidates couldnt be more clearer, one was a Godless, extremely corrupt, former drug lord sick with Alzheimers and the other is a God Fearing, and practically The most Prudent Elected Officer in the History of Sub Saharan Africa, The candidate to choose was clear to blind and audible to the deaf.

The drive for a New Nigeria is one that will pull this country and continent out of the shackles of Poverty. The face of the movement was Obi. and for lack of a Better name, the name of the movement is Obidients. From the results Nigeria is Now Divided into three types of territory, The fully Obidient States. The Partially Obidient States and Non Obidients States.

So Mr. Thunder if you are not sure how to make your decision before you strike, please use the new parameters and target the right people. Because Obidients are nigerians who wanted a total U turn from the direction we are going. Evil and wickedness should stay away from us. We are not part of the Problem.

I am from the Obidient state of Rivers State, My BRUDA! What is yours?? If your whole state is not Obidient, Name your local Government and say it with pride!

Totally in agreement with you, the preelection opinion polls were 100% correct, it was INEC that shifted the goal post when the match was on, that gave the fake victory. The whole world did not recognise even the so called victory. My problem is that despite INEC admission that some of their staff compromised, some people still saying it is not enough to council the election, but failure to use BVAS and electronic transfer of result is the only difference in this election and previous elections, that make people assumed that our vote would count, so if solid foundation of anything is faulty, anything build on it must not also stand.
Re: Presidential Poll: Why Pollsters Got Outcome Wrong by pacespot(m): 12:51pm On Mar 12, 2023
It is only here on nairaland that you will be reading a commonsense defying post like this.

Is it an election that INEC conducted on the 25th of Feb or electoral heist?

Out of over 87 millions registered voters with their PVCs, only 25 million were able to cast their votes.

Brazil is a country with the same population size as Nigeria, go and check the number of votes that the winner of Brazilian presidential election got in their last poll. About 60 millions Brazilians voted for their current President, while the former president who was the runner up of the election still came out with over 50 millions votes.

But here in Nigeria, someone is declared a winner of presidential election with just 8 million votes. Even though we still know those 8 millions votes were not totally his.

So it is safe to say that 200 million Nigerians did not participate in the last election out of about 225 millions population.
