Genuine Cartier jewelry will be stamped cleanly with even spacing and correct spelling. Imprints can be found on the back of rings, bracelets, necklace clasps and earring posts.
While the exact imprint of genuine Cartier jewelry may vary, modern jewelry will be stamped with the Cartier logo, the jewelry's metal type and a unique serial number.
The Cartier logo is always printed in their signature script, any other typography or misspelling is a sign of a fake.
Genuine Cartier jewelry will be stamped with their respective metal type eg Au 750 or 750 for 18k gold and Pt 950 or 950 for platinum.
