Lols you have been shouting illiterate since, mean while you are the educated illeterate here. You are not qualified to contest if you have been fined or sentenced to jail before. Whether you payed the fine or served the time, You are not qualified. I don't know how I'll explain this to you again. You are too dull. Tinubu was fine and he furfieted $460k. That single act disqualified him. Go back and read that section 137(1)d again the second sentence Thier.
An ex convict can no apply for certain job. That is what that section explained, Tinubu was fined in this case for dishonesty or fraud. So he can never apply to be President no matter what. Now fucck off since u are brain dead to understand what have explained to you like a 5year old kid.
Either you are oblivious or you deliberately lack common sense, or maybe both?, Ipobians like yourself & massiveglory, would have noticed that in the paragraph it says convicted by any competent court of law or tribunal in Nigeria.

Mumu you duckling ipobians should keep deceiving yourselves chasing shadows. Dead on Arrival.

Even if it is true that was over 20yrs ago besides the Case has been closed with a letter from The US gov to show for it. Also remember he was not convicted or found guilty in any court in the US.Constitutionally the case will be thrown out as dead on arrival. The constitution gives a specific period of 10yrs before an election and not indefinite.

Tinubu to the Yoruba's is not a drug Lord which is most important as for you and your trib feel free to call him anything you like. Very soon there will be no need for all this talk.

Go to court and proof it with evidence. Is that hard to do? Anything una hear on social media una go swallow and believe

Unfortunately for you and your backward people, he is trying to become president of Nigeria, not Yorubaland.

You can make a drug dealer governor -general of Yorubaland, and none of us will care.

This your case has been argued in the court as far back as 1999 and even then he still won thE case and became governor of Lagos state for 8yrs. Bringing this same case in 2023 will be no different. Let me even tell you when the case was hot in Lagos tinubu ran away from Lagos gov house to his friends house Gbenga Daniel in Abeokuta. At that time the deputy gov a lady called buknor akerele thought she will become gov because tinubu will be arrested. Tinubu triumphed and have you heard anything about buknor akerele since then? Let Peter obi try his best because the man Tinubu has a way of dealing with his opposition to oblivion. Peter obi is on final battle with the jagaban he had better win or else...............

He have been bribing his way out of everything. Tinubu is a man dat believe everything is for sale. Just name your price.. he got everything he Eva got through fraudulent means .. is this the kind of person you want to be our president? He may have succeeded in Lagos but Nigeria is a bigger stage. Mind u. The world is watching. And the youths will not take it. He can bribe the judiciary. As usual. But he have jam rock this time.. enough is enough. This will be the end of the road for BAT.. Tilumbu is finished. Let us see if the CJN will go against his own ruling.Lol

The problem with half educated or educated illiterates is they keep reinforcing their collective ignorance.

A blind man quoting a blind man, an illiterate quoting an illiterate neither of you understand the difference between “has been sentenced” which is not what is in 137(1)d and “under sentence “……and theirin lies your collective ignorance……poor education.

If your grasp of the English langauge is not basic enough to understand the difference between “has been sentenced” and “under sentence”. You and similar quacks will interprete the law incorrectly.

If the meaning of the law was as you claim the wording would have been “ has been sentenced”. In which case there would be no need to add 137(1)e as your uneducated interpretation of 137(1)d makes the inclusion of 137(1)e redundant or contradictory.

It’s one thing to understand English, it’s another to have common sense and an analytical mind. Common sense would tell anyone who possesses such that your interpretation of sections 137(1)d and 137(1)e are contradictory. You cannot on the one hand say anyone who has been sentenced is ineligible (according to your unintelligent interpretation of 137(1) d) while at the same time saying anyone whose conviction is under 10 yrs is eligible. To be sentenced you have to be convicted. If anyone who has been sentenced is ineligible, how can you allow those whose conviction is over 10 yrs contest? Not only have you shown you lack proper grasp of English, now you are showing you lack critical thinking abilities.

As for your post about some idiots interpretation of the legal classification of “forfeiture”, it is irrelevant and academic because it was over 10 years ago. It is irrelevant even if the CJN did make such a pronouncement (ofcourse you failed to provide the full article, you would think an educated man knows how to post a link to the article) as it is statute bound

Lastly read again the wording of the different subsections and look for the words “is” and “has”. If you had any shred of intelligence or any minute hope for salvation from your chronic lack of understanding of the English language, would see the error of your biased emotional interpretation. “Is” refers to what is current, while “has” refers to the past. I have nothing more to say…nothing further needs to be said to an averagely intelligent man who understands English. To the cerebrally retarded or the man without fundamental grasp of English, further engagement is a waste of time.

In basic school, we all went through English comprehension exercises. The goal of those English comprehension classes was to reach us to understand what we read. If you read but do not comprehend you are not much better than an illiterate and in my experience with Nigerians like you, it is better dealing with the uneducated illiterates…at least you know to communicate with then in the native language. Like I always say, Majority of educated Nigerians are poor in English. Even an uneducated English man from the council flats will never tell you “couple” when he means more than 2 but we regularly use “couple” to mean “few” or “some”. I have it many times the biggest problem in the Nigerian education system today is English, we would be better off being taught in our native languages…..the quality of English comprehension is very poor….especially among the under 40s. Unfortunately once the foundation is flawed from childhood, it becomes difficult to correct in adult life as we are witnessing in you.
