Waiting for justice from these hungry judges is a waste of time. The youths must stop this illegality. You cannot tell us that you are going to transmit results electronically from the polling units, then turn around and do anything you want and expect us to keep quiet. We must stop these bastards. |

MaliCampus: The problem with half educated or educated illiterates is they keep reinforcing their collective ignorance. A blind man quoting a blind man, an illiterate quoting an illiterate neither of you understand the difference between “has been sentenced” which is not what is in 137(1)d and “under sentence “……and theirin lies your collective ignorance……poor education. If your grasp of the English langauge is not basic enough to understand the difference between “has been sentenced” and “under sentence”. You and similar quacks will interprete the law incorrectly. If the meaning of the law was as you claim the wording would have been “ has been sentenced”. In which case there would be no need to add 137(1)e as your uneducated interpretation of 137(1)d makes the inclusion of 137(1)e redundant or contradictory. It’s one thing to understand English, it’s another to have common sense and an analytical mind. Common sense would tell anyone who possesses such that your interpretation of sections 137(1)d and 137(1)e are contradictory. You cannot on the one hand say anyone who has been sentenced is ineligible (according to your unintelligent interpretation of 137(1) d) while at the same time saying anyone whose conviction is under 10 yrs is eligible. To be sentenced you have to be convicted. If anyone who has been sentenced is ineligible, how can you allow those whose conviction is over 10 yrs contest? Not only have you shown you lack proper grasp of English, now you are showing you lack critical thinking abilities. As for your post about some idiots interpretation of the legal classification of “forfeiture”, it is irrelevant and academic because it was over 10 years ago. It is irrelevant even if the CJN did make such a pronouncement (ofcourse you failed to provide the full article, you would think an educated man knows how to post a link to the article) as it is statute bound Lastly read again the wording of the different subsections and look for the words “is” and “has”. If you had any shred of intelligence or any minute hope for salvation from your chronic lack of understanding of the English language, would see the error of your biased emotional interpretation. “Is” refers to what is current, while “has” refers to the past. I have nothing more to say…nothing further needs to be said to an averagely intelligent man who understands English. To the cerebrally retarded or the man without fundamental grasp of English, further engagement is a waste of time. In basic school, we all went through English comprehension exercises. The goal of those English comprehension classes was to reach us to understand what we read. If you read but do not comprehend you are not much better than an illiterate and in my experience with Nigerians like you, it is better dealing with the uneducated illiterates…at least you know to communicate with then in the native language. Like I always say, Majority of educated Nigerians are poor in English. Even an uneducated English man from the council flats will never tell you “couple” when he means more than 2 but we regularly use “couple” to mean “few” or “some”. I have it many times the biggest problem in the Nigerian education system today is English, we would be better off being taught in our native languages…..the quality of English comprehension is very poor….especially among the under 40s. Unfortunately once the foundation is flawed from childhood, it becomes difficult to correct in adult life as we are witnessing in you. 1 Like |
