Wanaiini:

*Corper
At least learn how to spell first
If you care to know, "Corper" is not an English word, hence auto correct translate it to the closest English word. That doesn't stop you from answering my question. Show us the pictures of Lagos state Corper's Lodge and the Location. Is that too much to answer? I didn't asked you for orientation camp O. To best of my knowledge some states does not have Lodge for NYSC members, that includes Lagos State. Contradict me with proves.

Not fair. It could rain while they are sleeping. The open space can also expose them to snakes and scorpions. Thank God they have mosquito nets if not not the risks of malaria would have also been high.

My lodge too was in bad condition then, the PPA is not concern, the community shows no concern.

Na God dey protect person my brother
Some LGI and State Coordinator needs to be sacked. Even FG no care, eni ori yo ni

And the corpers themselves don't fare better. They give them property they won't take care of it but run it down. You will have able bodied men, yet they look on and the whole compound will be overgrown with bush. The young ladies in the house won't do anything to keep the environment clean. At the end of the day, year in year out, they leave the property progressively worse than they met it. Irresponsibility is in the blood of an average Nigerian, from top to bottom. I have visited that lodge before it was renovated and I know how bad it was despite the fact that people live in it.

What do you expect from a town full of greed. Landlords formed association to exploit tenant . A town where landlords can wake one day and increase your rent by 3ร— . And there's nothing special in that town. When we tell you you can't make decent living in an igbo man town they thought we hate them

You de live for house with such door and interior paintings you de complain. Many had it worst in Enugu, our Lodge is nothing to write about, PPA is so bad. I had to redeploy to Rivers ASAP.

i did my NYSC in same delta and i was shocked when some corp members were lobbying to serve in this same Asaba kos it is a developed area.. but people like us that served in rural areas enjoyed our service with free community accommodation and sometimes free rides and gifts
from people across the place as long as u have your cap on or you re on khaki.. and the relationships built over time brings integration to the corp member.. though the lack of accommodation is a general thing, but some corp members love asaba to stay kos they want to get jobs after NYSC

Not that Okowa didn't build camp, why lock it up?
I don't want to call this one an over-fed baboon.

But then,, was he not told that NYSC is a year where youths learn survival.??

When a youth is thinking of survival, does he think about comfortability and luxury.??

*This write-up is born out of ill feelings and youthful exuberance. The Kopa's Lodge was under renovation and corps members were asked to evacuate the lodge last year.

Those corps members found in the lodge space are illegal occupants without the approval of the Scheme.

The renovation is still ongoing and the lodge has not been completed to be handed over to the NYSC.

This publication is a mere sneer at the good administration of Governor Okowa and the NYSC.

Outrightly, one will expect the writer as an activist to assist the corps members with alternative accommodation, while consultations are made to verify the true position of things, before making a deceptive publication born out of hatred and unprofessional conduct as an activist.

The illegal occupant of the lodge space have been evacuated and relocated to an alternative accommodation pending the completion and handing over to the Scheme.

Like the writer said, the cost of living is high in Asaba, accommodation is costly, that may have informed the decision of those corps members to make a makeshift accommodation in the premises of the lodge just to survive the hash reality of getting a moderate accommodation for themselves without the approval of the Scheme. Guys must survive abeg before the ill feelings publication that has drawn NYSC attention to illegal occupant of the lodge space.
