Why Did Twitter Change Its Logo To Doge? by DyshApp: 2:50pm On Apr 05, 2023
Elon Musk, who is the CEO of Twitter and has been since 2022, recently made an odd change on the platform that has many Twitter users questioning why. Musk has swapped out the Twitter logo with Doge, the meme icon for the Dogecoin cryptocurrency . In the upper left corner of your browser, while on Twitter, it is now a Shiba Inu instead of a bird.

Musk has been known to be a huge fan of the Doge meme, and he has promoted Dogecoin both on Twitter and during his appearance last year, hosting Saturday Night Live. After the change to Twitter's web logo on Monday, the value of Dogecoin rose more than 20%.

After making this change, Musk first posted an old meme about it.

He then followed that tweet up with a screenshot of an old exchange he had about the change with the caption "As promised".
