I support the brain drain bill, not just for doctors, but for everyone that went through subsidized tertiary education. Nigeria can't be training workforce free for the rest of the world. Either they work here or , they pay the actual price of Thier education. 5 Likes 1 Share |

RuddyFusion: Very true. However you must also remember the fact that the root cause won't be solved in a day. Nigeria as a country has got all it's sectors languishing in troubled waters. It is not only the health sector that is problematic. 2 Likes |

nlfpmod: It's not about how long a doctor has to practice in Nigeria before allowed to move abroad. It's all about the corruption in Nigeria. Government establishes a hospital in Nigeria, well equipped, and employs doctors to run the hospital. The doctors would use the government hospital and equipments as private practice in mushroom clinics the doctors established in the town the hospital is located. Patients are taken from the government hospital to the private mushroom clinics, housed there, the doctors use the hospital equipments to diagnose and treat the patients who pay the doctors. With time, the hospital and its equipments dry out. Doctors who want to earn as much as the political office holders ruin the health sector in Nigeria. 1 Like |

This man asked a good question! Like Wtf man! Everyday in this country, these greedy men will always come up with devilish strategy to frustrate the so called leaders of tomorrow. They don't want to leave their official positions neither do they want the introduction of modern med tech so that they will not become irrelevant, as they are not ready to align. Let those who are serious in the business go, NO! So, Why would someone even spend long years in any fed uni knowing fully well that it'll take another 5years to get certified looking at age and Nigeria's situation? Omor! Las las leaders of tomorrow go start key logging and there's nothing the govt can do about it. 1 Like |

I'm sorry to say this. Nigeria is gone past the state of repair. Every sector is decayed. Where is the cleaning going to start from? That is why I was saying if I'm Obi I will not contest the election results. To fix the country is herculean task to begin, especially when u stole the mandate. Note, I did not vote for any person and will never vote. The reason is I don't understand why INEC head will be appointed by the presidency. It makes no sense For Nigeria, u buy 2005 tokunbo or fourth used car and call pastor to pray for am, then u celebrate the big achievement. For Canada here, 2024 car na just any other car. Nobody send you. Nigeria is gone. No hope! I sorry O. 6 Likes |

The person that sponsored that bill no get sense at all. There is a reason for the brain drain not only in the health sector but across board. The olodos failed to identify the cause of these migration, that has been the problem in this country. Our so called leaders don’t think before they act. 2 Likes |

RuddyFusion: He tried but that's not still the solution. What he said is already in system. The solution to Nigerians and Nigeria's problem is simple but dishonest people won't like it, is Fairness and Justice. Once that's in place, I can assure you there will be peace and progress. Once fairness and justice prevail, integrity bar will rise and value will begin to rise. Mass migration will stop. If you go, you will come back quickly to share experience. We just need to be honest and transparent. The only greener pasture those countries have that Nigeria don't have is a working, honest and transparent system. A system that every input will be rewarded accordingly, no matter the class. 1 Like |

Excellent proposal by Oloriegbe. If you pay the standard/premium fees for your training (£35,000 per annum), you're free to japa but if you pay the Government subsidized fee (N500,000 per annum), you should work for 10years with the state or Federal Government. I Support, if you are also in Support, say Aye. The Ayes have it 3 Likes 1 Share |
