Try knack a batcher for your house and they will all show up requesting to see your approval.

They are just trying to say a building this tall was erected without them asking for the approval paperwork.

The Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, says no approval was given for the construction of the seven-storey that collapsed in Banana Island on Wednesday evening, April 12, IGBERETV reports.

The construction workers were said to be on the sixth floor of the building attempting to lay the seventh floor when the building caved in, trapping so many of the workers. Fortunately, no life was lost in the incident.

In a statement released by its Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Mukaila Sanusi, the Lagos state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development said an investigation has commenced into the incident. The statement read;

Unforced error. An unapproved commercial building was erected to 7 floors on your watch. The whole team for that location should be sacked. No story.

Lagos always as stupid as ever. How can a 7 storey building be built and no one saw and or noticed that it was not approved?

In a state where the touts surfaces the moment you move to amend your leaking roof within seconds.

Lagos has no sincere government. We never had after Jakande and Marwa.

Comedy lagos . Same story with the collapsed building in ikoyi.
Always quick to dish out terrible lies and exempt themselves, knowing fully well that it is impossible for a building of that nature to be in banana island without the knowledge of the various egunje ministries in lagos.

Ordinary small boys quaters I was putting up in an estate in lagos, they show up everywhere writing X and O on my fence without even knowing anything about the land.

Lol thats how they do they have spies everywhere they collect money and share in the thieving basterds...they have collected for this building all have shared the money ...you see what they fail to understand this corruption will come back to bite them in the ass

In Lagos, you can't even build a culvert without someone coming to tax you for license and approval. But all of a sudden because the building has collapsed it wasn't approved.

Can't they decipher if the building materials and practices are up to standard??

Sick!

Your football club loses a game and you're so pained you can't eat. You analyze and cross-analyze and call for a competent coach and better players etc...

********************
Your country loses human lives to killers and you defend the President, defend the government and make excuses for why it is just a "few people" that died etc etc

********************
You're sick...very sick, I tell you.

Re: 7-Floor Collapsed Building In Banana Island Was Unapproved - MPPUD Lagos by fujirice: 8:15pm On Apr 15, 2023
This right here is the reason why many Nigerians, including myself have lost faith in that country. How things like this keep happening and we keep getting the same cock and bull story all the time. Who on earth in his right senses will believe that a building of this magnitude is going without approval? If it’s true, then how many buildings really have approval in that country? What are the ministries, departments and agencies doing? From Lagos to Abuja, PH to Enugu, the story remains the same no matter the part of the country it happens.
The worst part of this is that nothing will come out of it at the end of the day. No heads will roll and we’ll sit tight and wait for the next building that will collapse and the cycle will continue.
