She's not lying. This is the 21st century. People here are living like it's 1811 or something and the enlightenment hasn't happened. So she smokes, so what? Why is it ok for men to smoke and women not to smoke. Role model? Is she the only actress in Nigeria? Go and follow patience ozokwor or something if you want to follow a 'good' person. Meanwhile, why are you not a role mode to your younger ones. Why are you leaving it in the hands of half-educated 'actors' with the range of paper bags? |

Tonto is 100% correct, more than not being exposed, Africans can be VERY hypocritical. IMO smoking aside, Tonto IS a role model for her boldness to speak her mind and go against the grain. @baby_boy, I agree with you 100% and that is exactly what came to mind while reading some of these responses. Nigerians will idolize Fela, Bob Marley, Terry G, Snoop Dog who are KNOWN smokers of WEED let alone cigarettes. What about the millions of Nigerians who smoke everyday in Nigeria? If smoking is going to be considered a taboo habit, let it be taboo for all, not just women. Talk about walking contradictions. |
