Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II (MFR) was a highly respected traditional ruler and a prominent figure in the Nigerian society.

He ascended the throne as the Elerin of Erin Ile in 1992 and ruled with distinction for over three decades.

The late monarch was known for his dedication to the development of his community and the promotion of peace and harmony among his subjects. He was also a strong advocate for education and healthcare and worked tirelessly to improve the living standards of his people.

Following the news of his passing, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed his condolences to the people of Erin-Ile, describing the late monarch as a "highly respected and revered traditional ruler who dedicated his life to the service of his people."

Similarly, Hon Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye, a PDP chieftain, also commiserated with the people of Erin-Ile, describing the late monarch as a "great reformer who brought development and progress to his community."

The death of Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II (MFR) has left a huge vacuum in the traditional institution of Kwara State and the country at large. He will be fondly remembered for his exemplary leadership, his commitment to the welfare of his people, and his unwavering dedication to the promotion of peace and unity in his domain.
