Akere please mind your language. What you witnessed was not an "armed robbery", but an Asset Re-Allocation Exercise, and those 20 gentlemen in 3-piece business suits who liberally sprayed the premises with rifle rounds are more appropriately referred to as a "Delegation of Financial Consultants", charged with providing the "enabling environment" for the bank manager to quickly open up the strong room, in order to facilitate that high-priority transaction with appropriate dispatch.

Anyone who died during that cash withdrawal protocol can be said to have been "permitted to meet their ancestors", somewhat ahead of the normal schedule for such journeys.

Confusion, as robbers raid 2 banks in Ilesa

ILESA, Osun State, was thrown into confusion, on Wednesday, as robbers raided two new generation banks and wounded several people, while an unconfirmed report said two people were killed.

The robbers, who arrived the banks around 10.00 a.m were said to have come in a Toyota Sienna car, shooting sporadically into the air to scare the people away, just as it was reported that they used dynamite to break the security doors of the bank where they operated.

The robbery incident, which occurred barely a week that four banks were robbed in Iwo, also in Osun State, caused commotion in the state, as banks in Osogbo shut their doors against customers, while people were prevented from making any transaction.

The robbery operation was said to have lasted for 40 minutes. Though while the robbers were trying to escape, mobile policemen from the state police command were said to have engaged them in a gun duel.

According to an eyewitness, the bullets fired by the police were said not to have effect on the robbers, probably because they had charms on them.

The policemen, it was reported, had to retreat when they ran out of bullets, a development that gave the robbers an advantage to escape with their loots. The tyre of the vehicle through which they came was said to have been deflated with bullets, but they still managed to escape with another vehicle snatched at gunpoint.

Those wounded in the incident as a result of stray bullets were taken to Wesley Guild Hospital in Ilesa, were they are receiving treatment.

While confirming the robbery incident, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Solomon Olusegun, said he was yet to receive full details.

However, members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) were said to have pursued the robbers and traced them towards Akure road.

In another development, the state police command has said its men are on the trail of the robbers who killed a policeman and broke into four banks in Iwo, last week.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Olugbemileke Taiwo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo, on Wednesday, that although no arrests had been made, the police were close to making a breakthrough.

My man listen to yourself a minute. So you would actually be taking pics during robbery that includes bombs and AK47s rather than lying down on the floor to avoid stray bullets? Be for real. You should be thanking the posters God for saving the guys life rather than attacking him childishly.

It is news reports like the above one that give my Juju amulet and talisman customers that all-important false assurance required to take reckless chances while wearing items from my line of Voodoo products.   Here we go again, ha ha with the Nigerian press ascribing hocus-pocus, rather than poor marksmanship under fire, as the reason that policemen's "spray and pray" exchanges do not always inflict casualties among what are most often military-trained, battle-hardened platoons comprising "retired" or active service troops.

A Federal Ministry of Juju-Motive Administration must be established as a matter of great urgency, with yours truly as a high-ranking, hard-currency remunerated official.  That august body would be tasked with investigating the Immediate and Remote effects of supernatural combat modalities during police encounters with the Spiritually Empowered banditos.

Excuses of no job are no longer convincing for crimes like this

It's wickedness and culprit must be brought to justice

People should stop sounding in a way that encourages crime, What is bad is bad,

Ileshaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, but why?

IMO, Osun State, especially ilesha has just been a home to these organized hoodlums.

Few weeks ago, it was First bank along Isokun rd.

For ilesha, even if you park your car in a 'safe' place to make a fast use of an ATM machine. . .
guy your car go disappear before your money is dispensed.

Those cartels have really established themselves well in that town.

Anyway, those guys 'must' maintain their high standard of living now that MAGA no dey pay again.

Ile Ife is 7 minutes drive from Ilesha shocked? This piece of wrong information has put a big question mark on the remaining part of your post: studying at OAU and OPC angle. Your needless tribal comments have been ignored anyway.

The policemen ran out of bullets? Again, if the authorities fail to pluck courage to decisively tackle the rot in the Police, it is the breakdown of law and order that will sink Nigeria.
