That is true, Capital is very important but knowing which business you want to get into and being able to draw up a well thought out business plan is more important. I say this because having a flawless business plan will put you in a position to apply for loans to start up your business.

Most businesses are no longer viable in nigeria, because of
1. Little or no capital
2. Low Petronage, as most households purchasing power is low
3. Power, cost of running your business day to day
4. Taxation, start up businesses are heavly taxed in nigeria
5. Loans for expansion, are never availble

it's not capital o, it's knowledge, skills and passion. These are the major factors.

You either work for money or money works for you. When you work for money you generate active income. When money works for you, you generate passive income.

To do the typical business you are working for money. This type of business often needs a shop space. Here CAPITAL is an issue as well as RUNNING COST thereafter. Rental & stocking gulp money.

Fortunately in today's world, technology has changed the nature of business. You don't always need a physical space for shop & office!
You don't need huge capital but your phone, airtime & data.

There are legit online businesses with as little as N2000 as start up & daily earnings. Unfortunately, such opportunities are unknown to many and disregarded / rejected by many.

However, capital is not the problem but lack of capacity and vision.
