Hallo everyone @honeyboo congrats once again and thanks for the advice,@inwangobio thanks for the advice too ,you know IVF is not cheap like that especially when you are running other ventures,i just wan recover small jare(emotionally & financially)@ pikinmama welcome and keep up the good work of educating people o cos people are ignorant even educated people,what you are doing is a ministry o,i hav a fanily friend who had her twin boys with ICSI in london,they are seven yrs old now,na every woman who no get pikin for church she dey tell to go and try IVF o and she said all of them done born apart from one who is like 7months preggo so well done.@redeemer save you can check bridge website you will see their price,i did my 1st cycle with Emeka and he charged me 960k but cos i had a cardaic arrest in the past while trying to do a laparascopy he said he was not going to put me to sleep for egg collection so i paid an extra 185k for an anesthesiologist and am glad i did cos i had an epidural for the egg collection,a lot of people also swear by St Ives ,i've not been there but i know of at least one person who had her baby there but am beginning to feel IVF eventually works when you are persistent,just do your homework well,while not recommending anyone to you i'll say from my experience that any doc that my hubby likes is good and he loved Emeka,infact he has told me he's not following me to any hospital again if it's not Emeka ,IVF is such an emotional roller coaster that you need to work with an FS who will continue to reassure you that all will be well.Emeka & I joke that he will collect more money from me when i dedicate my twins or triplets,i will still try with him just trying to psyche myself again ,my attitude is that if someone can have a successful treatment anywhere,then you will also have yours,i've seen people go to US,UK and SA and they eventually have their successes in Nigeria and vice versa,infact i have an uncle who after 4 failed attempts in canada tried in Nigeria for the first time and he has a boy now so pray and take steps.God will hear.

@ Tanidabi: It is well my sister, God will see us through! I also use Dr Emeka,he did my 1st cycle that failed but i would still try again if dont get a natural bfp with this cycle hence looking at commencing by 17th April(God this is not an implication of lack of faith biko). During the 1st cycle in Dec 2012 i produced only 4 eggs and just 1 fertilized, further investigations were carried out ie AMH test and my result was good! Therefore, i researched online and zeroed it down to maybe poor quality egg. Since January i've been taking natural suplements to boost my eggs e.g royal jelly,bee pollen,organic wheatgrass,organic barley grass, maca roots,pregnacare conception, boots folic acid, vit c, feros(dont know if spelt correctly).I noticed my period has been regular with less pain and less clothing since two months now.
I belive God that my next cycle will be my testimony of goodnews!!
On another note: I went for Blendy's children's dedication it was AWESOME and i could feel the spirit of God during the prayers over the babies by her church people, i used the opportunity to tap my own annointing! I prayed God for the fact that i rejoiced with her SHE/PEOPLE shall also come to my home to rejoice for my own children's dedication!

@ subzidi God bless you and thanks for finding time to attend blendy's dedication,na so we go attend your own too and everyone on NL still in God's waiting room,would have been there too but na mainland i dey and men sundays are usually crazy,Emeka wants me to try again sometime in July but sis ,human beings are funny o ,my immediate younger sister is getting married in August in London and so am caught in between going for her wedding and proceeding on a vacation or doing the IVF cos it will be too much strain doing both about the same time,am sorry abt the egg quality o but sis my uncle's wife had only two eggs,one fertilised and they have a boy,me i had 17eggs,15 fertilised and it still did not work,meanwhile all this drugs you are taking,who recommend am?I personally feel it's a lot o ,or could it be age related?if you want to increase your eqq quality maybe you should ask Dr Emeka or at least carry him along.I hear Metformin is good for that.All the very best

@tanidabi,tnx again.My advise to u is to sit with your doc. and discuss,if your sis wedding is going to fall arrd the time u will be taking your injections then you can go for your sis weddin and take your injection along.But if it going to fall on ER or ET date then may be you can suspend it till you come back from your sis wedding if it compulsory u have to be there for her.I pray this will work for you this time amen.

Sometime you may be doing more harm to yourself than good by taking all those drugs.The only drug that I no one can take is folic acid (400mg) per day.So pls consult your doc and discuss with him/her how you can improve ur egg quality and don't leave out your husband.He can take drugs too if need be.I pray almighty God grant us our heart desires soonest amen.

@tanidabi,did you have evacuation after your last miscarriage?i remember inwagobio said his wife didn't and they had to do a particular procedure[can't remember the name,you can check his post]and thats one of the things they did differently to get their bfp.wishing you a bfp soonest.babydust to everyone

@Tanidabi: Yea i told Dr Emeka about all the supplements and he says they are good but i should stop once i start stimming. My ovarian reserve is very good from the AMH test i did with Dr Emeka, i am only 33 years young I even read that viagra suppository helps in embryo implantation ie after ET. Dr Emeka also confirmed that and told me there is also an injection they normally give after ET to lengthen Leautal phase,improve lining of the uterus which in turn helps in implantation but at an extra cost of N250k which i'm seriously considering. This is not a MUST as some women also get pregnant without this protocol unless of course you've had one failed cycle and would want to cross all your ts on the next go! Above all na God hand e dey...

Regarding your dilema, in the face of limited finance with respect to vacation,ivf and sister's wedding if im in your shoes i will choose ivf ooo!
In all, pray and choose the option that gladens your heart more!

I've also been ttc since 2010 and I'm just trying my first ivf with Dr Emeka. I've read quite a number of positive outcomes and I'm so looking forward to a successful one too. I just finished my stimulation process and I'm due for egg collection tomorrow.

How totally random! we attend the same church! you know when my mom first told me, Mrs X gave birth to twin boys,, i thought to myself heya, and i just read on Nairaland that blendy gave birth to twin boys its definitely raining babies, but i was at the dedication yesterday, randomly visiting and worshipping with my parents and that's when it clicked.

The last thing I knew was when I was sedated, next thing I woke up in a bed. I didn't even know I got there.

Am sure we must have seen each other at the clinic a few times.you can send me an email so we cld connect with each other.

I have been lying down all day, thank God I took the week off work. The pain no funny, I thot I had a high threshold for ppain, ds is like a continuous menstrual pain.

I wasn't given any antibiotics oh, just some pain reliever (paracetamol - I believe) and cyclogest. If the pain doesn't subside, will give the Doc a call tmrw.

I bought wellman, zinc, n folic acid for my hubby to use and and I we have decided to try naturally for like three months before going for it.

For me, I bought wellwoman (dual pack, robbitusin syrup,and softcup. We just wanna do thisd and see how it will turn. Can clomid be taken with wellwoman? Thanks.

@honeybony,i don't even think i should add IVF to any trip jare, how are you holding up,if you can be on bedrest till 2nd trimester please do considering your past experiences,i know we need this our job but sometimes we really need to let go,@zeezy i did not really have an evacuation cos the baby came down on its own and they only removed the placenta(now that am mentioning this i can picture how it happened hmmn)i suspect the procedure you are talking abt is hysteroscopy ,it looks into your womb,i've been avoiding it for like so loong,@subzidy this life sef you are pretty young so am wondering why you have a low amh,was 34 abt two weeks ago too ,God this too must pass o,am ,yea viagra helps with implantation but i think that's when your linning is thin.Dr Sher in yankee uses it regularly(Sher medical institute)as for the trip ,if i get sense i won't go ,i've started using style to tell my hubby to represent the two of us,but let's just see how it goes,the earlier you complete this ttc journey the better o @ inwangobio thanks a lot o ,how are the triplets doing,that is all i see in my dreams triplets,it will come to pass.Our very own blendy how are the boys?

I quite agree she was given but like in our own case, they normally give us tabs of it and not IV after ER. I thought she was given some tabs too that was why i advised her to take them. All the same,am trusting God to perfect everything that concerns everyone of us, He is able to do it.

Hello Everyone, how are we all holding up? It is WELL even in the Well. Sometimes last year My Pastor's Wife called me and asked me to give IVF a shot @ Lily Clinic in Warri (Just behind my House ). I dey dull. This year during their promo for N650,000, she (my Pastor's wife) having only one son that is 23 went on to try IVF too @ age 50!!! Goodnews is she is presently Pregnant!!! Wen she was stimming she confided in me and I opened this thread for her to read, telling her the Do's and Don'ts from Y'all experienced peeps. She is so excited at da moment, even her DH. Promo had ended and total cost is back at 850,000. Thinking Seriously about giving it a shot IF DH agrees. *Dancing Kukere for her*
