Meaning Okezie Ikpeazu is a potential minister being a member of G5 who failed to be elected into the senate. We Abia citizens dash Ikpeazu to EMILOKAN gang ![]() |

When u appoint someone through the former president then, expect incompetent candidate from Katsina. If i am lying, name one minister who performed well under Buhari? They are all waste of post and appointments. |

mrvitalis:Stop typing rubbish that does not corelate with the argument. Healthcare is not about surgery alone! Surgery is just a component of healthcare. Pharmacy even plays a more central role in healthcare because drugs are involved at most aspects of healthcare. |

Jman06:There was a reason office of accountant general and auditor general was created Minster of finance is not micro economics it's macro... Show me the part of accounting that deals with macro economics |
Re: Ministerial List: Serving Senators, Ex-bank CEO, Others Make First Batch by Jman06(m): 10:49am On Jul 04, 2023 |
mrvitalis:Focus your argument on that and stop bringing in healthcare professions which you clearly lack knowledge about. |
Re: Ministerial List: Serving Senators, Ex-bank CEO, Others Make First Batch by mrvitalis(m): 10:53am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Jman06:Bros health profession like every other sector is division of labor A nurse can't function as a doctor, a doctor can't function as a nurse too st least not long term U need different professionals within the health sector to function well A surgeon is a surgeon cant ve replaced as long as surgery is concerned, a lab scientist is important can't be replaced You can make a surgeon a lab scientist and expect optimal performance I don't know exactly what your issue is I gave an example that's relatable don't know why it's annoying to u tho |
Re: Ministerial List: Serving Senators, Ex-bank CEO, Others Make First Batch by mrvitalis(m): 10:56am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Jman06:Pharmacist being central or not is not the point here... No matter how important a pharmacist is to the health sector when surgery is needed a surgeon is called abi? When drug formulation is needed a pharmacist is called abi? Imagine giving a surgeon the job of a pharmacist and a pharmacist job of a surgeon how would that hospital perform? |

Re: Ministerial List: Serving Senators, Ex-bank CEO, Others Make First Batch by Jman06(m): 1:59pm On Jul 04, 2023 |
mrvitalis:Your initial argument wasn't about performing specific roles by professionals but about management of a health institution hence your reference to med lab scientist not being fit to be appointed CMD which is the position erroneously saddled with hospital leadership in Nigeria today. |

leokid866: Economics are not the only field that deal with macro economics... But a PhD holder in macro policy formulation for a developing economy is quiet ideal yes |

mrvitalis: Dr Teodros, your current World Health Organization (WHO) president is not a Physician but a Scientist and renowned and seasoned laboratorian. He was the former president of African Society of Medical Laboratory and has a PhD. His seasoned knowledge of medical laboratory principles and diagnostic procedures is one of the reasons the world is still breathing after COVID-19 pandemic. Like HIV/AIDS, the disease was defeated in the medical laboratory. His continuous advocation for testing and tracking the disease was the only reason why the disease was controlled.. Half of Europe population has been wiped off in the Middle Ages by less virulent scorges (like Yersinia pestis, Tetanus etc) than COVID-19, when lab testing was difficult and the war against diseases were fought blindly. My point- A Medical Laboratory Scientist is eminently qualified to administratively lead a hospital or even be a minister, as we have in WHO currently. |
