The number one citizen of that state is a Yoruba man and he could do just anything he wants including removing the Emir...Yorubas are the more powerful tribe there

By the way, Kwara is in NC and has alway consist of two tribes, why do they have to chase Fulanis out, cause even Ijaws live pescefully in Ondo state and both can coexist
Ilorin city is fulani conquered territory. Yorubas there pay allegiance to the caliphate in Sokoto. They don't want your traditional practices, try it and see yoruba killing fellow yoruba

I heard the Emir even insulted Wole Soyinka, and called him an old liar who loved causing problems everywhere. grin

How can a foreigner come to someone’s land, ban their culture and insult them laidis?

Agbado warriors, come out and fight. grin
Agbado warriors are all taking cover because the fire from Ilorin is too much. You don't need to be told about what fire does to corn... If it doesn't roast it, it will pop it. Hahahahaha

If u believe a village king is more powerful than a Governor...Then this convo is over

I dont debate with people like that
Let the governor unban what the Emir banned make we check something. That he is yoruba is meaningless, he follows what the caliphate dictates

I don't know why I was late to the 'parry'. The whole history of Yorubaland has been exposed here and I've copied it and saved in multiple places eagerly waiting to use it at the right time.
Damn... all the ronus have gone into hibernation.
Gone gone gone forever is the lost city of Ilorin.

He's a muslim and he is anti-traditionalist

A xtian an atheist wouldnt tolerate that too
He stood against what his holy book called paganism and not agaisnt Yorubas as even I, an ondo state indigene have never witnessed this Osun festival before as I'm also a xtian and my religion is against it...

so if you dont understand it now, then i would assume you're just an unintelligent troll
Such dumb analogy. A Christian traditional ruler doesn't interfere with traditional worship. Only Emirates, which are conquered territories, ban traditional practices

Anytime you see an Ilorin indigene, just call him fulani and see his warm embrace to you
That's not the point, the point is, fulani rule there and their allegiance is with Sokoto

The stop of Isese in ILORIN has NOTHING to do with any Fulani.
The Yorubas were the one against it. We're all against it, it's not part of our culture as Yoruba but religious celebration of Yoruba Traditionalist who are not even in Ilorin.

If you've ever been to Ilorin, you won't argue with any hatefully raised child from Alaigbo or one purported Arewa Facebook about who owns Ilorin.

Wole Soyinka is a Yoruba bigot. I hope the Fulani of Ilorin show him red hot pepper. A man who did not say a word when APC thugs were injuring and killing people all over the SW, just because they wanted to vote for others. A man who has kept quite, while a convicted drug dealer, with false history sits in the highest office in the land. Soyinka dose not see anything wrong with all this. He only finds his voice when it's time to attack the North. Shameless hypocrite

Yanmiri’s working overtime to try to put a wedge between North & SW since May 29. Thankfully, as evidenced from this thread, the Yoruba are too smart to fall for it and take the bait.

Misery loves company. Try harder.

God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Be deceiving them. ESN is waiting for you over here sha.

If you all feel it’s perfectly fine for Ilorin and Kwara to be subsumed by conquest, then why do you think it’s okay for Palestine to continue resisting Israel conquest also?

It’s all about conquering lands in the name of religion instead of preserving culture.

Culture existed before religion.

But it's wrong. What's all the hypocrisy for? Iseese is a religion based on Yoruba culture and the constitution says allow all to practice their religion. If the emir can allow churches, what is his issue with Yoruba traditional religion

Religion can be practiced anywhere in Nigeria. Emirs don't have more power than the government so get over it.

EGUNGUN BE CAREFUL". (NA ILORIN YOU DEY GO) - RESPONSE OF ALHAJI L A K JIMOH TO WOLE SOYINKA. "

How I wish that our response to Wole Soyinka was a bit more organized.

Different groups should have been arranged to either issue Press Releases or call Press Conferences to cut him to size.

You see, by titling as "Open letter to SULU GAMBARI" without the courtesy or etiquette of addressing the Emir, at least, as Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, Soyinka exposed his lack of HOME TRAINING.

His references to the fatal inter-religious disharmony and hostility in Kaduna, Boko Haram and ISWAP are a calculated incitement to disrupt the age-long tranquility in Ilorin Emirate that is renowned for ethno-cultural tolerance and inter-religious harmony.

Of course, nothing better could come from a man who, as an undergraduate, was a purveyor of the precursor of grisly cultism in Nigeria's educational institutions and a failed assassin in the 1960's.

People like Wole Soyinka who have bequeathed to Nigeria a legacy of savage and destructive cultism should be ashamed of themselves.

A man who was so notoriously intolerant of dissenting political posture as to contemplate assassination has no moral platform for sermonizing about the virtues of tolerance.

Again, in his usual puffy intellectualism, even on subjects about which he knows next to nothing, Soyinka, the self-annointed MR KNOW-ALL, sarcastically boasted thus: "We know the history of Ilorin and the projectory of your dynasty --- but that's not the issue."

Ilorin will gladly join issues with him (or anybody, for that matter, who wants to expose his academic ignorance and ridicule himself) on the matter.

Meanwhile, Wole Soyinka should familiarize himself with the history of the following yoruba towns and the trajectory of their respective dynasties:

IFE --- where ODUDUWA and his entourage usurped the land from the Ugbo people and relegated their monarch, OBATALA , to oblivion till this day;

OYO ---- where ATIBA, after the destruction of OYO-ILE, seized AGOR from OJA, the owner and
ruler, and renamed the place AGOR d'OYO which is the present day OYO;

IBADAN --- where OYO refugees drove away the owners -- both the Egbas and the Ifes -- and drove the Egbas to as far away as Abeokuta where they settled since then;

ABEOKUTA --- where fugitive EGBA, dislodged in Ibadan, seized Abeokuta from the owners -- the Itoko and Ijemo people -- and relegated them to the background till this day.

OSOGBO --- where a batch of fugitives, who escaped from being taken into captivity when Ilorin destroyed Oyo-Ile, drove away the Ijesa owners of the land and turned OSOGBO to an Oyo-yoruba land till this day.

MODAKEKE --- which an Ooni of Ice allotted to the batch of fugitives which did not settle at Osogbo but moved to Ife.

The rest of that story is now history.

Ilorin is waiting for Wole Soyinka. If those who live in glass houses choose to throw stones, they will have themselves to blame.

This is the intellectual response by our elder statesman , renowned historian and community leader , Allhaji LAK Jimoh to the nebulous and caustic letter by Prof. Wole Soyinka to our revered monarch , His Royal Highness , the Emir of Ilorin .

Welcome To NCRM!!

Even the Emir is of Yoruba heritage..
Those in charge of Kwara affairs are Yoruba..
All their past & present political leaders are Yoruba..
All the Kwara federal, national and local appointments are Yoruba..
The state Governor is Yoruba..

Ever since this ilorin issh started, Igbos have been using it to masturbate. They should masturbate on..
