Abaji Council Chair Congratulates Wike as FCT Minister


The Chairman of Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Abubakar Umar Abdullahi has described the appointment of the immediate past Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory as a welcome development.

Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi who is also the National Chairman of the Association of local Government of Nigeria ALGON said he has no doubt that the appointment of Mr. Wike as the second southerner to head the FCT after Mr Mobolaji Ajose Adeogun, will bring more development to the FCT.

He stressed that given Mr. Wike's performance as Rivers State Governor, they in the FCT are confident in the new minister's ability in turning around the nation's Capital to a better city not only in Nigeria but in African.

The Abaji Chairman assured residents that with Mr. Wike they will not regret his tenure.

He also assured of the cooperation and support of ALGON and FCT people to the incoming minister.

Abuja is for Gwari people but almost all council chairmen are either Hausa or Fulani. The real owners of the land have been pushed back. Thank God Tinubu is trying to right the wrong.

I responded to the guy who said Gwari should rule Abuja and stating that Tinubu is righting the wrong by appointing Wike. Drawing from his argument, i concluded that Wike must be Gwari. 😐
