Religion has always claimed otherwise but it remains a tool for power. Thats why you see politican visiting churches and mosques during elections, they use religon to rally support of religous faithfuls. Also when they see they are clearly failing the people they fake hope in God to still rally sympathizers and faithfuls alike. An example of this case is the statement made recently by the Oba or benin during his visit. He claimed tinubus presidency is Gods choice, in a bid to rally sympathisers. POLITICANS USE RELIGION TO SUPPORT SUFFERING AND SMILING. BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT WHEN YOU MENTION GOD IN NIGERIA MOST PEOPLE SUBMIT, SO THAT THEY DO NOT TO LOOK LIKE SINNERS, THEY DONT EVEN CARE TO CHECK OUT WHO IS MENTIONING GOD.

hmmm... A very nice angle. That means, the people at the end of the day have no say in governance. Since our suffering (or pleasure) from the act of leaders are orchestrated by GOD. well as for luggard... The act of the colonial masters destroyed/rewrote our history.
