Your emphasis on 'quality' is ambiguous. How is quality determined when most of the products are produced with inferior 'leather materials'? How is quality determined when you pay for a product according to your bargaining power?

And no, China doesn't have a different market for Africans. What they have are different products (which are of various quality) which people all over the continent are expected to pay according to its affordability.

Who told you Aba made doesn't last?
The half shoe I bought since COVID era, I have been wearing it till date without any issue. I bought it ₦15k as of then whereas the guy that work the half shoe for me showed me the ones of ₦3500 earlier, i rejected all and told him i want original product and not the ones made with inferior materials.
So the bottom line is if you want the one that will last for you , you tell them to use high quality material to construct it for you else they will construct inferior one with cheaper price.
