With all the opportunity Igbos had under GEJ govt. All these infrastructure could have been built if they truly wanted it. The truth is like every other part of Nigeria the political class are the most wicked. Since 1999 no single state or LGA in Igboland has ever been denied allocation. Not even did the leadership of that side proposed a seaport and was it rejected. Enugu got an international airport under GEJ. Let's face it, our local leaders are the problem not any imaginary enemies.

they are wired to think one way....herd mentality. Nigerians are wiser now and wont fall for that emotional blackmail anymore grin

Wait let me show you an summary of an article on decree 34. The problem with you guys is that you don't read at all. That is why people like you reinforce the statement that to hide anything from a black man put it in a book.

Summary of decree 34 is that regions will be called group of provinces(which is what the regions are) now military governor cannotnincur expenditure without approval. Note that statement, decree 34 didn't take away the revenue sharing powers of the regions. Decree 34 centralised the federal and regional civil service to be subject to the military Council or the permanent secretary. The only lacuna there is the merging of the civil service. In hindsight decree 34 still kept the revenue framework of the regions and truly there was nothing wrong with decree 34 in hindsight.

The structure we have today is far different from decree 34, but rather it was modifications of decree8 made by Gowon which broke regions into states and also consolidated the regional revenue to the center for distribution and sharing to the regions.

Please you guys should see that propaganda no dey sell again.

it is not about points it is about debunking your marginalization noise.

how do you kill the leaders of other major tribes and still leave the revenue sharing to be intact when does other regions were richer than the eastern region

to centralize a government means to direct all revenue to the central government.. you are really ignorant..

for example while you and your people make $11b so you will kill the leader of another tribe that's getting $38b and still leave the followers ( who will be seeking revenge against you ) to keep receiving $38b when you know they will use the money to re-group and kill you in response.. you are not intelligent if you believe revenue sharing remained intact and talking to you reduces my own intelligence ..

Let me start with the picture from Ironsi. You see it is people like you that give the black man a bad name because you guys cannot use your sense to read and understand. Now let us summarise decree 34.

The regions were abolished and put into territories known as group of provinces. Please tell me are regions not group of provinces? You are not a smart person walahi. He also stated that provincial governors will have no say over incuring expenditure without approval which is how the military works take note he said expenditures, he never altered the revenue framework of the regions. He consolidated both federal and regional civil service to be subject to the military Council pr the permanent secretary. Note again that the regional frameworks were never altered, the person who destroyed regionalism was Gowon with decree 8, where he stated that revenues will be consolidated in the center and shared to all States according to a sharing formula. He did this to prevent Ojukwu who was the military governor of Eastern region to have proceed of crude oil sales which ordinarily will accrue to the Eastern region. That formula and decree 8 has been altered all these years to what we have now.
So it was never Ironsi or decree 34, stop lies and propaganda.

The injustices against the old eastern region is long over due, what we need now is the release of our leader Mr. Nnamdi Kanu and the date for Biafra referendum. We are tired of Nigeria and we are ready to go, people who still want the British creation called Nigeria can continue to be in that hell of a country, as for Biafran's we are going to our old nation Biafra devoid of hate/segregation.

Nigeria only started making money from oil in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

the igbo region of the eastern region was the poorest region, eastern Nigeria revenue was from Calabar and other non-igbo regions..

Look we know that the elites are wicked, but see if you understand the politics behind project allocation you will know why they scream marginalization. Let me take you down memory lane, when Benin- Asaba was dualized due to Anenih's influence as minister of works. There was a serious clamour for Onitsha- Owerri Road to be dualised, they never agreed, until Massob started that was when Obasanjo in 2003 decided to award the dualisation project to CCC guess who were opposing this in the Senate? It was northerners, the sooner you realise how badly skewed this country is then you would understand very well when igbos shout marginalization.

The Jews are very powerful, and you had governments which are sympathetic, aka have conscience. The German government has acknowledged the genocides in Namibia and Tanzania. The Dutch have done the same for colonisation in Indonesia. Black dominated governments never do the same. There is a reason I want the White man to continue his dominance of the world. If he ever fails, the Chinese man takes over. The Black man should never dominate this world as it is. Not like it is going to be possible anyway.

Secondly, asking for quotas tends to harm a group more than good. Isn't it funny that Igbos who suffered a civil war which decimated their livelihoods and the society are made to attain high scores over the north, which hasn't experienced such? For instance, Chinese Malays dominate the private sector in Malaysia and score very high in national examinations even though there are national quotas for native Malays. The Chinese out-perform every other racial group even though national policies are stacked against them.

The aim is for equal opportunities, not equal outcomes.
