DissTroy: --- As an addition, I just dug up the OP's comments from almost a year ago; Ebi2233: He's an Ijaw from Bayelsa which shares no boundary with Akwa Ibom, and his other posts suggests he doesn't live in Akwa Ibom. His threads on Nairaland suggests he goes about appropriating parts of other states to Ijaws illusionary. Just putting it out there before anyone runs with a false narrative. Seun and Mynd44, you pushed unverified information to Nairaland frontpage. You let a known troll use your frontpage for baseless propaganda. Do you need the Akwa Ibom State Government or Ibibio Union official reply before you take this down? Or until Nairaland is sued? 6 Likes 2 Shares |

This is propaganda taken too far, everyone familiar with the history between Eket and Ibeno will know that IBENO people have always been the aggressors. As far back as 1990, my family lost everything they worked for when they settled in Ibeno to do fish business. My grandmother and and my mother where in Church when they got news that their house and everything in it had been razed to the ground. This was a coordinated attack on Eket people and their properties. They left the church and ran back to Eket with nothing except the clothes on their backs. I have heard the stories as handed over by my great-grandfather and others of how Ibeno people came to exist in that location. They were fisherman who came from across the Atlantic ocean and we're granted leave to settle there. Today these people have been able to get a local government area but they want more. They have become the landlords and want the original owners of the land to vacate for them. It will not happen. I for one have been amazed to as to why Ekid people have tolerated their excesses for so long. If this is true, then i'm glad my people have awoken from their slumber. PS: They are NO ijaws in Akwa-Ibom. Oro Nation is a subset of Ibibio as the language is similar. 4 Likes |

Goodlady:I see them as a fellow majority in the Nigerian project. As a people they are jovial and fun to be with, our worldview are different as they pay more attention to respect based on age especially, Igbos pay more attention to achievement, I think the Yorubas are easily manipulated especially on tribal angle; I don’t think they can risk their life for anyone else, only sparingly for their own; they don’t like confrontational warfare but they are not as sophisticated as they would like to think, they appreciate the easy life in their majority but not a fan of sweat or blood. 3 Likes |

Ebi2233: I wonder which of the MODs push this Falsehood to front page on Nairaland. Moderators on Nairaland should do due diligence to avoid being part of spreading falsehood. The OP is obviously on cheap expired Ogogoro to come up with this totally false narrative to distort historical facts. All the local govt mentioned by the poster (except eastern obolo) are Akwa Ibom indigenous local govt and not ijaw. When did Ijaws have so many local govt on ibibio land? Where has Akwa ibom state been said to comprise or Ibibios and Ijaws ? OP is a complete good for nothing Oloshi. This is how falsehood are being spread and historical facts are being distorted and give room for criminals to have reasons to forment trouble. Pls Nairaland moderators should either delete this post or compel poster to edit. 6 Likes |

NaijaNaWaa: fear fear talk. Igbos are in it, because our cousins are involved. It might get to a life or death thing, we know our side in this. During the ijaw vs itsekiri war, didn't igbos support ijaws. What benefit did the igbos get? When Oga Obj wanted to really deal with them, wasn't it the igbos that did diplomacy on their behalf. What did the igbos get? If not, sabotage, hate, encouraging the others on doing genocide against the igbos, discriminating against the igbos in Rivers, etc. Igbos have tried to find peace and live in peace with them, but dem think say, their head hot pass. They think we are weak to defend ourselves. At the end of the day, igbos love peace and respectful coexistence, but will not cower to bullies or people that want to genocide us or cousins. 1 Like |

Eket was divided to contain these people. Ibeno was created. Today they try to fight development and growth of the state with the claim that it’s their land. They even claimed QIT that started in 1954. They cause confusion that made BUA refinery delay till date. Today the owners of the land decided to stop that nonsense You were give a settlement. You claim it urs and start struggling boundaries thinking you are sth and claiming you are ijaws. No be mumu be that? This has been going on since 2015. They were warned. They went about killing people in the boundaries. Today the land owners Eket and Esit Eket are calling a spade a spade. Now una Dey find sympathy. Never allow a politician use you as a tool.
