This information is false. There are no Ijaw LGAs in Akwa Ibom to begin with. Only 2 with Ijaw history - Ibeno and Eastern Obolo who have al but wiped it.

This is propaganda taken too far, everyone familiar with the history between Eket and Ibeno will know that IBENO people have always been the aggressors.

As far back as 1990, my family lost everything they worked for when they settled in Ibeno to do fish business.

My grandmother and and my mother where in Church when they got news that their house and everything in it had been razed to the ground.

This was a coordinated attack on Eket people and their properties. They left the church and ran back to Eket with nothing except the clothes on their backs.

I have heard the stories as handed over by my great-grandfather and others of how Ibeno people came to exist in that location.

They were fisherman who came from across the Atlantic ocean and we're granted leave to settle there.

Today these people have been able to get a local government area but they want more.

They have become the landlords and want the original owners of the land to vacate for them.

It will not happen. I for one have been amazed to as to why Ekid people have tolerated their excesses for so long.

If this is true, then i'm glad my people have awoken from their slumber.

PS: They are NO ijaws in Akwa-Ibom. Oro Nation is a subset of Ibibio as the language is similar.

I see them as a fellow majority in the Nigerian project. As a people they are jovial and fun to be with, our worldview are different as they pay more attention to respect based on age especially, Igbos pay more attention to achievement, I think the Yorubas are easily manipulated especially on tribal angle; I don’t think they can risk their life for anyone else, only sparingly for their own; they don’t like confrontational warfare but they are not as sophisticated as they would like to think, they appreciate the easy life in their majority but not a fan of sweat or blood.

These are Eket boys numbering over one thousand conducting a total barricade of the only access road to and from Ibeno Local Government Area.

The Ekid people of Eket and Esit Eket, according to reports, are demanding that the remapping law surreptitiously signed by Udom Gabriel Emmanuel few days before leaving office last May be implemented. The evil remapping law was aimed at creating routes in order to bring Eket, Esit Eket, Onna, Mkpat Enin, which are completely hinterland local government areas, to border on the coast so that they can take benefits of the Petroleum Industry Act and the proceeds which accrue to oil producing communities therefrom.

Reports have it that these same scenarios are replicated both in Eket and Esit Eket Local Government Areas. By this multiple actions, the youths of Eket and Esit Eket are in collusion to barricade all the possible road access to Ibeno Local Government Area. Boys numbering well over one hundred from Edor in Esit Eket have moved towards Ibeno and are threatening to overrun Upenekang, the headquarters of Ibeno Local Government Area. Considerable restraint has been placed on the youths of Ibeno to remain calm in the face of this aggressive attack.

For months now, I have been reporting the various secret meetings by prominent members of Eket and Esit Eket Local Government Areas to perfect the devilish plans to enter and cause mayhem in Ibeno. This is the beginning of the manifestations of those secret meetings.

The people who are doing this are given impetus by some top ranking politicians from Eket and Esit Eket Local Government Areas. Some of these politicians hold high political offices in the government of Akwa Ibom State. They seem to be romping around.

All the local govt mentioned by the poster (except eastern obolo) are Akwa Ibom indigenous local govt and not ijaw. When did Ijaws have so many local govt on ibibio land? Where has Akwa ibom state been said to comprise or Ibibios and Ijaws ?
